  • batteries not included
Received package and decided to check it before wrapping, pushed "try me"' button and it didn't work. When I checked the battery box there were no batteries. Sending a present to a child that doesn't work is not cool. When the batteries were installed everything was what I wanted. The box should say batteries not included if product is to be sold with out them. ... show more

  • Fairly pleased
Fun dancing ball, the music is louder on this ball than a similar one I purchased several years ago. At a young age (9-12 months) our grandson was put off by the loud music, we put some heavy tape over the speaker to soften the noise and he enjoyed playing with the jiggling ball.

  • For puppies
I bought this for my European Doberman to play with. He LOVES it. He chews off the little nubbies but but it does not affect the inner parts, they still work. He runs and the music plays and he looks so cute and he starts to prance to the music. This is the second one, if you get it for a dog, don't throw it or the inner parts will jam. ... show more

  • OH MY!
Was a gift for my 9-month-old granddaughter, her 2 1/2 yr old brother is over the moon w/it, too! My granddaughter holds it while it is on, putting one of the knobs in her mouth, we truly feel that she loves it on her gums as she is teething hard right now! My granddaughter also loves to see it do its thing and she bobs up and down to the music, she loves to see if she can get it going! Really is a worthwhile gift, it is played w/OFTEN, not pushed aside! ... show more

  • Daughter had to grow into it
Let me start by saying this is my daughter‘s all-time favorite toy now that she’s almost 3 years old. She is Deaf Blind. At first she was mortified by it… But I have come to realize it takes a few introductions for her to eventually like a toy sometimes. I bought this toy for her first Christmas but she wasn’t ready for it until she was about 2 1/2. It has a pretty strong shake to it and it is loud which is actually wonderful for my daughter because her hearing is minimal. Now that she has figured out how to work it she seeks out this toy from her little toy bin and gets upset if she can’t find it. I have had to already replace the batteries about five times from so much use. The one bad thing… My daughter can chew… She has already chewed off two of the nubs… Luckily, only for her, she spits anything solid because she has an aversion to solids so I didn’t have to worry much about her choking but parents might need to watch this closely if their kids like to chew and may swallow the pieces. I’m sure once this finally dies I will be buying another one because she loves it so much. To the company, I would work on the durability of the nubs… children with sensory issues tend to chew and teeth grind a lot , But otherwise this is a fantastic toy for sensory play. ... show more

  • Poorly designed
Enjoyed one of these as a kid, and wanted to get 1 for my son. This came in a cardboard box without any sorta plastic, and was quite dirty. Not exactly a great start having to scrub a brand new baby toy. Threw some batteries in, and that's when things got worse. First are the 2 settings. A "try me", and then an on. Quite frankly, I spent a good bit of time trying to figure out what the difference between the 2 were to the point that I turned to the manual to see what is said. Apparently 1 is for 5 seconds of run time, and the other is for 10. Even with that knowledge, there wasn't an apparent difference. The other problem being that this means there is no real "on" function. You have to hit the ball every few seconds to activate it or it shuts off. So no way to let it run away and have the baby crawl after it. Finally the biggest issue which is why we never use it is the volume. It's loud. And not like annoyed parent and every toy is loud. Like it should come with one of those "exposure for over 30 minutes can cause permanent hearing damage" disclaimers loud. For that reason alone, we don't ever bring it out for him to play with, and I can't recommend it to any parent unless you have a deaf child and need something with physical stimulation. ... show more

  • Scares little one
Bought it as a gift for 9 month toddler, now the toddler is one year old and still won’t play with it. The shaking scares the toddler, but other than that it is fine.
