Recently bought this for our one year old after weeks of researching rotating convertible car seats, and I’m glad we chose this! Prior to this, we used a Nuna infant carrier. We chose this over staying with Nuna due to their comparable model only having a 40lb max. It was fairly easy to install. I wanted a car seat that can turn because I’m not very tall and I drive a Tahoe so it’s already a struggle to get our son in the car. He’s also a sweaty lil one so I like that it has the cooling material. Overall it feels high quality, comfortable, sturdy, safe, and fits well in the back captain seat. It wasn’t too heavy to pick up to install it. He also seems to love it and doesn’t throw fits getting in the car seat anymore. The turning feature is a life saver and game changer! It turns very smooth. The only con I can think of is the lack of transition to a booster but I’ll cross that bridge when we get there. I absolutely love that it swivels so I don't have to twist my back or the baby's trying to get him in and out. He is one yr old, just turned, so he is much heavier and this carseat makes it so much easier to get in and out of my pathfinder. And when he doesn't want to be in the carseat and is upset while I try buckling him, having him facing me while buckling him in is also much easier than struggling sideways. The height of this carseat is also very nice because my child is tall. He is also a chunky monkey lol so he has plenty of room but it's also not as wide as other carseats either so it doesn't take up the middle seat like other seats do that have wider bottoms. This one fits him perfectly without being wide or too thin. The head rest really fits around his head nicely too. He just looks so comfortable and relaxing like when he is in it it makes me want to try it lol. Super expensive but I think it's totally worth it. The way you use the belts and stuff to put it in the car itself is super easy too. Way easier than using the latch system, which I do love, and just as tight as if u were using the latch. I have a 9 year old and two under two. The turning car seats are a total game changer (which didn’t exist 9 years ago) I bought one of these when my 2 year old was 10 months. I went to a store and looked at multiple rotating car seats and the quality of seat material and how easy it was to turn made this one a no brainer for me. My sister in laws both having rotating car seats from other brands and both are hard to turn when you’re holding a kid. I also picked this one because the rear facing weight limit was so high. The only draw back is once you make it a forward facing seat it doesn’t rotate anymore (I don’t know if others do). We got this car seat on one of the prime days and then purchased it again for our second baby. It makes buckling toddlers in so easy with the turn feature. It is easy to install and easy to clean. I cannot recommend enough.

I read a review that had stated they did not like the fact that when the car seat is turned you can’t shut the car door. Regarding that I would like to say the ENTIRE point of this car seat is so I do not have to bend and duck into the car to put my child in it so the fact this car seat spins out far enough to easily put my child in I love it! It beats all other 360 car seats. I will say the one complaint I have is after it’s installed when you press the button to turn it you just have to make sure the seat belt at the bottom doesn’t get caught because sometimes it does. Overall if you want a stylish, comfortable plush, turning car seat that is easy to use and easy to install you must purchase this one! I am thoroughly impressed with it. ... show more

The chair fabric feels great, very smooth, light, feels almost like merino wool. As well, the position of the chair when rotated is high and well positioned, definitely making it easier to take your baby out or put baby in. Some complain about having to rotate chair back as a result, but the benefits of the position warrant a little care with rotating back. Plus, when I rotate back after taking baby out, I only rotate enough to close the door, not to relock at center, so when I open door to put baby back, I can just grab chair anywhere to rotate to position to put baby back in. So it's pretty easy. The rotation is smooth and secure, and the chair doesn't have much slack in center locked position. Chair was also very easy to install, since its high protruding base makes it easy to properly tension either the seat belt or anchor belts tightly. What we didn't like were the cheap light plastic of the middle buckle, the light duty groin buckle, and the impossibility of fixing the fabric tab covering the groin buckle in place. Also it's impossible to keep the belt off to the sides when trying to insert baby, so you will always be pulling and looking for the belt behind baby. Last, lack of swivel adjustment unless you remove the seat. Though it has 3 angles, only 1 was usable for 15 month baby. The others would give baby zero leg room. So all in all, as a car seat, the lackluster hardware for the price is unfortunate. (Our Uppababy Mesa and a Cybex Sirona S both had superior buckles, groin buckle fabric tab, and a way to hold the belt open when placing/removing baby.) However, the ease of secure install and the way the seat rotates out makes the seat truly more convenient to use as I can stand erect outside the door to put baby in and out. (The Cybex Sirona S, for comparison with similar rotating seats, still require you to bow your head to fit inside car to seat/unseat baby.) If the hardware were as well designed and built as similarly priced car seats, and it would be so simple to do so, this City Turn would be the top top pick. It's compact, light weight, easy to install, easy to rotate, actually convenient to use. We just wished it had the hardware as the Sirona S. (But no forget the Sirona, that's a disaster in design, not worth your time even trying it.) ... show more
