The strap on the bottom def helps the hat stay on her head & it beats having to put a cap of my own on her head to provide shade for beach days! I bought this hat for my 3 month old at the time. It was a bit big but she quickly grew into it. I love the adjustable fastener it has to keep the hat secured onto baby’s head and if it falls it doesn’t fall all the way off just onto baby’s shoulders.

In this summer heat I wanted something that would work for carrying our baby from the car to whatever building without her being in full sun or me needing an umbrella. This is perfect and so cute. It was great to baby wear her in stores and not have the bright lights in her face while she slept.
