  • Beyoncé enough said
My daughter loves Beyoncé and has wanted her music on vinyl so I’ve gotten my hands on a few and this is one of them. She absolutely loved it!

  • No regrets.
I have a sibling who recently got a turntable and is currently building their vinyl collection. They are also the biggest 'Yonce fan imaginable. Out of all of her current body of work, I suspect this album sounds the best on wax due to the live instrumentation and soulful/funky vibes she's serving. Highlights that sound particularly nice on the record include: Deja Vu, Sugar Mama, Upgrade U, Kitty Kat, and Resentment. I was worried if this purchase would survive its delivery intact and unscratched. It was packaged and shipped with care. Would recommend. ... show more

  • ARE YA'LL CRAZY...OR JUST CRAZY HATIN?
I don't know what album everyone is listening too, but Beyonce's new CD is CRAZY RAW. Here's my take on it. I believe some people haven't given it a real chance. Some have probably heard it once and didn't try and really listen. Usually for me I have to listen to an album twice before I get the full effect. Kelis' new album is a good example of this. The first time I heard it I wasn't sure if it would be as good as "Tasty". But, after LISTENING to it I fell in love with a lot of songs on that album. And the same goes for Beyonce's new album. This album shows maturity with the tight horns, percusssions, and 808's. Maybe it is because I grew up listening to all types of music not just R&B. I also love old school and some of her songs have an old school element to them. Today so many young people focus on songs about sex, money, jewels, oh and did I mention SEX. There is a big difference between a song about love and making love or getting a little something. And a song about just sex, grinding, licking, sucking, and ***cking. I am tried of songs like this. Beyonce has solid lyrics in her songs. Yes, I do agree this album is not as good as her first but it is solid fo' sho'. The best songs to me are: Deja Vu = Her first single produced by Darkchild. I love the horns on this song. Suga Mama = A raw song that puts a nice spin on the sugar daddy theme. Where in this case Beyonce's the sugar daddy ( Or should I say suga mama. Bringing out that old school element with a sample of "Searching for Soul" by J Wade and the Soul Searchers. and I love the way she sings this song with that powerful voice of hers. Kitty Kat = Produced by the Neptunes this is a sexy song letting her man know she ain't feeling him no more so she and her "kitty" are leaving. Irreplaceable and Resentment = Are the slower jams on the CD that showcases Beyonce's vocal's I especially like the lyrics in "Irreplaceable". Freakum Dress = This song if you listen to the lyrics actually has some truth to it. I know when my ex made me mad I got out my sexy dress and went out with my girls to the club just to see him sweat for acting a fool. Not to mention I love the drums in this song. The best songs out of all on this album in my opinion are "Ring The Alarm" and "Upgrade U" Ring The Alarm = First let me say I love the way the song starts with the alarm buzzing and I love the way Beyonce angrily protest " Ring the alarm I been thru this too long But I'll be damned if I see another chick on your arm" I love the way the beat comes in as she sings "She gone be rockin' chinchilla coats (If I let you go) Sit in the house by the coast (If I let you go) She gone take everything I own (If I let you go) I can't let you go Damned if I let you go She gone rock the V.V.S. stones (If I let you go) Cruise in the 'Bach or the Rolls (If I let you go) She gone pocket everything I taught (If I let you go) I can't let you go Damned if let you go". This song is definitely a club banger. Swizz you sick on this! Upgrade U = she letting that man know she is a better suited woman for him as she sings: " I hear you be the block But I'm the lights that keeps the streets on Notice you the type that like to keep them on a leash tho I'm known to walk alone but I'm alone for a reason Sending me a drink ain't appeasing, believe me Come harder, this won't be easy Don't doubt yourself Trust me, you need me This ain't a shoulder with a chip, or an ego But what you think they all mad at me fo'? You need a real woman in your life (That's a good look) Taking care of home and still fly (That's a good look) And Ima help you build up your account (That's a good look, better yet a hood look, ladies that's a good look) Believe me When you're in those big meetings for the mils (That's a good look) You take me just to compliment the deal (That's a good look) Anything you cop I split the bill (That's a good look, better yet a hood look, ladies that's a good look) Believe me Partner let me upgrade ya". This song is also a banger. All I have to say is really LISTEN to the CD before forming an opinion Only reason I gave this Album 4 stars instead of 5 is because I think us fans; Beyonce deserve more than 10 songs Plus 2 hidden one of which is a alternate take on "Get me Bodied". You go Beyonce keep up the CRAZY WORK. ... show more

  • Beyonce had put the competition ON NOTICE!!
This album is ABSOLUTELY HOT!!!!! If I was a fan before, I DEFINITELY AM A FAN NOW!! Beyonce did a fantastic job on this album of showing exactly how on top of the game she is!! All the other wannabes that are out right now need to take notice! Beyonce has officially put you on notice to leave the auditorium! ALL of the beats will have you grooving your neck to them. Yes, she does turn up the intensity of her emotions when she sings some of the tracks but I wouldn't equate that to being "shrill". (Oh brother...Some haters need a life!) She says on the album's end that she wrote some of these songs to express emotions she felt for her character Dena from the movie "Dreamgirls". If that's the case, I can't wait to see her performance because the album is FABULOUS!!! Great Job BEYONCE!!! ... show more

  • It’s a okay album; it’s just too much screaming.
Beyoncé always show out with all her music! I am indeed a Bee fan, but this album will most definitely have your head hurting because she hollered and screamed through the whole album. She has an amazing voice, but the songs would be great if she didn’t scream so much into them. The only song I feel she didn’t do too much on is the “Get Me Bodied” songs (the regular and extended version). ... show more
