  • Great case, large CPU cooler more likely to be a problem than GPU, easy workaround.
This is a fantastic and beautiful case, but if you've been perusing reviews wondering if your video card will fit, that's not the most likely problem. My 3080 Ti fits just fine and it's just *barely* touching the glass with the plastic part of its cooler. However, if you're using a Noctua D15 or D15s cooler (or similar sized air CPU cooler), expect a bigger headache. The D15's height isn't so much the issue as the width. Even with the pipe bend on the D15s, this cooler will take up space that is needed to bring down the glass pyramid cover. Thankfully, this case is very well made; you can remove any side's glass by simply removing a couple of screws and two adhesive hole covers that are in the way (and they will stick back on when done, which helps keep the case quiet). While this resulted in the case being more "open air" than intended on one side, it made the case very usable even with a small fleet of SSDs and an HDD. The fan which comes with the case for the overhead mount at the apex of the pyramid looks really nice, but for some reason, has only 3 of the 4 pins an RGB fan header plug might normally have. This would be fine, except rather than simply put a hollow hole to function as a sleeve for the unused pin, it's been plugged with solid plastic. It also has almost no reach coming out of the cable tidy that keeps the cable for the fan up against one of the struts. This was a real problem, as my ASUS ROG ATX board has only 4 pin headers and the cable couldn't reach, so I had to remove the (really cool looking) fan that came with it and replace it with an Antec 120mm RGB fan. My only other complaint is that the case comes with only one PCI-E 8x/16x riser cable and no PCI-E 1x micro-slot riser cables. This is easily fixed right here on Amazon for about $18 a pop (sometimes in pairs) and is necessary if you have an HTC Vive PCI-E wireless adapter or a similar must-have smallslot card. There are no vertical card mounts; anything connecting to a slot will need a riser cable if it has a backplate. If you want to SLI or Crossfire in this case, forget it; the cards which support it tend to take up multiple slots each, and unless you have very slim form factor cards, there won't be space for more than one GPU. So if you're worried about whether or not your parts will fit in this case, they likely will as long as you don't have a particularly high-end heat sink that is either extremely tall or extremely broad. If the parts don't fit and you're willing to open-air one side of the case, that's easily done. If you've got a beast of an ATX board, it will fit, but you might be doing a little customization to fit all of your tech. ... show more

  • Phenomenal aesthetic, worth every penny.
PROS: -SITH HOLOCRON SITH HOLOCRON SITH HOLOCRON SITH HOLOCRON -Extremely high quality materials; screws included -GPU can be mounted standard or horizontally on a bracket, case comes with PCIe ribbon cable. (NOTE: If using the included ribbon cable, you will need to enter BIOS prior to moving your PC to this case and set PCIe to 3.0; 4.0 is not compatible with the cable) -Dedicated placements for HDDs, SSDs, and liquid cooling, and includes one RGB cooler fan near the top of the structure. - Ease of access; the entire case is three pieces: the pyramid top (all four sides, glass panes and capstone preinstalled), base, and PSU holder, which is secured by six screws. To access the interior, all you need to do is unscrew the four spring-loaded screws and lift up. -Comes with one USB-C and two USB 3.0 ports on the front, as well as the standard 3.5mm audio in/out ports. -MORE SITH HOLOCRON CONS: -Doesn't actually contain ancient secrets of the dark side of the Force. -May be a small manufacturing defect, but the power and RGB header cables for the fan situated at the top of the case are not long enough to reach the motherboard. Fixed with header extension cables. -Cable management will be tough with this case. There are two main levels on the base of the case: where the motherboard is mounted, and the aforementioned placements for storage and PSU. They can be separated, but that requires the entire structure needing to be dismantled, which involves unscrewing almost three dozen screws. Currently, I've only got two M.2's on the mobo, so I don't have to worry about it, but it may become a relevant issue in the future. OVERALL: A fine addition to my collection, which finally rounds out my PC build.
