    • Took a bit to figure out, but it’s a game changer

This thing rocks! Coming from a high end gaming controller I always preferred the mouse for aiming. But the lobster claw on the keyboard for movement just didn’t do it for me. This completely eliminates that making movement feel so natural. The keys are super sensitive but I like that because it’s so quick. Programming it is super easy took me a while to setup. But most of the time I spent trying to figure out how to best bind the keys. It’s super simple when you do to adjust you can drag and drop key binds to fit your style. With in an Hr I had it down after about 12hrs I got the muscle memory down. I love this thing! ... show more

It's a great product, it does what it says, no issues with it. It takes time to get use to it, the transition from keyboard to this device does take time. Time that old gamers like me, don't have. Regarles of that I highly recommend it to all the new gamers out there.

    • A game pad, not a keyboard.

The important distinction: You can fully type out sentences with a keyboard. Summary: I really, really wanted this to be good. It looks so cool, and I am frustrated whenever I need to take my hand off my mouse to type. This seemed to be the perfect product for me, and I saved for half a year to get this. Ultimately, I'm sending it back. EDIT: I am definitely upset that I went with the compact rather than cyborg. This definitely feels like the inferior product. And I'm really not thinking that I would pay 200 dollars for it, if I knew what I know now. But... I'd have to undo all the personal settings, and realign the fingers to the package, in order to put it back in. And the packaging is rather fiddly... It feels like a genuine loss, even though I don't really think I like it. And so, if it is making me feel this way, even by psychological manipulation of requiring customization to even use in the first place... It's probably not actually that bad. So I'm bumping up the rating. - And it should have been obvious. Even without modifiers, there are 26 letters in the alphabet. With 4 buttons per finger (and thumb) ... you've got 20 keys. In good news, it's got 26 addressable keybinds (including pressing on the directional thumb button and pad), plus the thumbstick. So, if you populated every single keybind in a profile, you could get one that you could type all letters. (But no punctuation, caps, or space, whatsoever. And you probably want to change one of those out with Enter, for chatting in game.) At least hypothetically. I still can't figure out how to press the top 2 keybinds. I'm not sure they actually exist. At least on the compact. Looking at the picture of the cyborg they included, it might have those missing buttons. And it's really hard to accurately press down on the directional thumb button without it misreading as a direction. If you have a programable mouse as well, you might be able to bind shift, space, comma, backspace to that. Or at least shift and space. For the other punctuation, you can quick switch to the second gamepad profile, and have that work with those. You simply have to figure out which ones you want to be the most awkward to use. Speaking of which, get the cyborg, not the compact. In the compact, you must entirely lift your hand out of the little key cage to press the 4 buttons at top. The cyborg definitely seems much more convenient. And might actually have more keys. You can at least have macros set up, so you can have a dedicated alt-tab button, rather than using two of your precious key slots. - So, let's look at it from a gamepad perspective instead, because a keyboard not being a keyboard, despite being advertised as a keyboard might be a bit of a harsh judgement. Well, it's 200+ dollars, so it better be *good.* And... Well, it's not 200 dollars good, but it feels really nice on the palm. The thumb, not so much. And the wrist is just bad. It so heavily restricts how your army can sit on the rest pad that you absolutely must change the key positions rather than shift your arm. Which leads to a *lot* of fiddling. Because what feels very comfortable one moment suddenly doesn't feel great. Not to mention, I basically can't even use the thumbstick without hyperextending my thumb, thanks to the wrist curves. But, let's assume that you finally dial in the absolutely perfect position for the fingers, the overly aggressive "claw grip," that it enforces with its large bottom buttons, is probably going to tire out your hand, even with the nice palm support. Haven't used it enough right now to confirm that to be the case. Just so impractical for me. Oh, and its' a positive sweat trap. - I did try using it with Europa Universalis 4, since the game has an obnoxious control scheme. And... I was able to get a reasonable programmed control after 5 or 6 reprograms of for specifically. It... was fun. No serious complaints. I got to flip through all the map modes much easier. But would I have been able to do so if I reprogrammed my real keyboard for specifically this game?... I mean... There are a lot of buttons, and this game pad is much more dense than a keyboard. Much less travel. So... As a game pad! Not a keyboard, as a game pad! It is probably good enough, if you specifically set up the keybinds for each game, and remember to handle the profiles before starting up the game. In fact, for a game like EU4, it might be actually optimal. It's not "200 dollars"-good enough. I'm still refunding it. But if I was stuck without a keyboard, and was just told to only use this instead... I would not complain too much. Mostly because I'd be annoyed by my complaint being all lower case. ... show more

    • BEWARE OF RETURNS!

The product is great and very cool, but once I received the item and determined it wasn't ideal for me personally I tried to return it. The return instructions said to go to any mail service and that I would be responsible for shipping costs to return. I went to USPS, FedEx and UPS and in all 3 cases the shipping costs to return were $275-475! Which is way more than the product itself. The product is great for some, but beware before purchasing of the return shipping issues. ... show more
