Review for the new 4K SE model. This is my first and I have a feeling not last projector. After being an LG OLED addict for the past decade it was finally time to try a projector. I paired this with a 100in projector screen (Lopbast and Elite Screens) in our bedroom where we had no room to hang a larger TV. With the auto focus and keystone correction I was able to easily get a full 100in image even with the projector very off center in the corner of my room and the image looks perfect. Was planning to mount the projector on the wall or ceiling but no need to do so. The image quality is absolutely perfect in a dark room and has this vibrant quality to it that I don't see on my LG OLED. I was honestly blown away, I knew that projectors have drastically increased in performance (and lower cost) the past few years but this blew away my expectations. With the blackout blinds closed during the day it is great as well. With indirect sun light and no blinds it is perfectly fine. With direct sunlight of course that is where it can't hold up to an OLED but still viewable. The software is great with Google TV, app selection is fantastic, casting works great. All of the settings are integrated nicely with a one touch keystone/focus adjustment on the remote. Remote is super nice, light and backlit. And finally the audio, it is better than I expected. I have a 5.4.2 setup in main theater room so I'm pretty picky. No I won't be watching Atmos action movies without a sound upgrade. But thus far after watching a few TV shows and some classic movies it is perfectly fine and really appreciated that they included such a nice set of speakers with nice bass. I also plan to use this projector outside and in other portable locations and the speakers will be great in those scenarios. I most likely will add a Bluetooth sound bar at some point. Absolutely blown away by this projector! Super impressed by the stunning picture quality. The 4K resolution is incredibly sharp and vibrant, making movie nights an immersive experience like never before. The setup was a breeze thanks to the user-friendly interface and intuitive controls, and notleast the auto keystone and image sizing! It connects easily to all streaming apps and devices, and the built-in speakers deliver surprisingly rich and clear sound. The brightness is really impressive too! Overall, the Nebula Cosmos 4K SE has exceeded all my expectations. Amazing overall product with vibrant colors, contrast and brightness outdoors at night or in a perfectly dark room. Nice full sound from the built in speakers good enough for casual sports viewing. It runs warm with no noticeable fan noise which is a real problem for other products like the Dangbei DBOX02. Dedicated indoor projectors will get brighter and louder at much higher price points still not coming close to performance of an entry level large TV. Would give 5 stars if it came with a gimbal stand that's becoming increasingly popular in this category. ... show more

    • Fantastic Casual & Versatile Projector
I'm very familiar with the Nebula brand of projectors and i've owned a few over the years. The Cosmos 4K (there's also a Full HD model too) is renowned for it's portability and ability to project a great image onto any surface with minimal effort. Let's face it, a lot of projectors take time to get right, you need to tweak the distance, the angle, the focus, the keystone. It can sometimes take away from the fun! This projector takes out the hard work and gives you a wonderful image. It runs on Google TV which means you get official Netflix, hurrah! That's very rare for projectors for some bizarre reason as most run Android TV which is not Netflix approved so unsupported. This has 1800 ANSI lumens, which isn't the brightest but given the size and ease of this thing, it's very impressive. I wouldn't say this is a daytime projector though you can use it obviously but in a darker room the picture is glorious. It is 4K (likely through pixel-shift) and not 1080p so watching UHD content is super sharp and the colors are realistic and not overblown or dull. The Cosmos also features Dolby Vision which assists in providing a great image & contrast. The Cosmos is capable of expanding to a massive 200" image size. Obviously you'd need a room that's large enough for the projector to sit that far a way from the wall but that size is insane. I've been in cinemas with smaller screens! This has a built in speaker with Dolby Audio and the sound is great. I can quite happily watch music videos on YT and the sound is well balanced and clear. If you want more of a surround sound, you'll need to connect to other speakers via bluetooth but for me I am happy with the sound from the dual 15W speakers. Quite often I find these types of projectors to lack mids and bass but I thin Nebula did a great job with this! In terms of connectivity, you have WiFi as you'd expect and Bluetooth but physically there are two HDMI ports, one which has ARC so you are covered for more control from the remote control if using a gaming console or streaming device. As this has Google TV, you can easily stream content from a compatible Android phone. I used my Pixel 9 Pro and it worked seamlessly. Given you can buy this for around $1100, I think this projector is a fantastic buy and thoroughly recommended. ... show more
