I lost one of my (major name brand) knives, and needed a replacement. While looking, I saw this 3-pack of Ayesha knives at a steep discount. They looked nice. The main problem is they are too lightweight, which makes them feel both cheap and a bit more dangerous when cutting. Maybe this is supposed to be a 'Japanese' style (no idea), but I'm just skeptical. I regret not making the extra expense and effort to replace my knife properly. ... show more

I bought these knifes 3 months ago. The knifes are not lightweigh, it is comfortable to hold and chop. but after few uses it was tough chopping tomatoes. I never put the knifes in dishwasher as such. I had to a buy a knife sharpner. Once they are sharped they work fine.

These knives were all great for a short time but quickly became dull. I always wash by hand, never in dishwasher. The chef knife has been virtually impossible to sharpen with either of my sharpeners. Won't cut tomatoes at all. Seems that the other two will sharpen decently but for only a short amount of time.
