the kit that this polisher comes w/ is a good setup, the pads are correct, 2 batteries is a definite plus. The sandpiper included w/ it is more for heavier duty than this device may be capable of, depending on the job, I was hoping for some 1200-2000 grade to work on lite duty things, that do not require heavy sanding, I bought it to do lite finsihing jobs on my vehicle and house hobbies. Product works great. Only issue is batteries don't last very long and take too long to charge. Too much downtime between charges when detailing. They need to figure out longer battery life or faster charger. I could use definitely use additional batteries.

I am sure the heavily promoted detail companies would bad-mouth these like Chemical Guys which I purchased a corded model about 2 years ago which did a good job. However, this compact buffer I found was far easier to handle and did just as good a job as the high-priced Chemical Guys corded model and cost considerably less. In this case, this unit is a bargain. I'm heavily invested into detail products and devices. I have many of them that sit in the back of my cabinet. This is now at the front. Couple of things though. One the battery charger is not separate but there is a plug in each battery. They give you 2 and they last long enough each one will buff out 3-4 Car panels depending on how much you use. It comes with a ton of buffers polishing and sanding disk (though only a course grade no medium of fine grit). The long term reliability is yet to be determined. I'll follow up review if it stops working. I probably wouldn't have purchased this if I had known that Ryobi has a cordless one as well since I have a ton of Ryobi tools. I am a cordless convert. However, having another charging platform... I now have 5, is not big deal though I have to constantly figure out what battery goes to which device. No universal battery will ever be made. haha. They need to supply a third battery with another charger with this as going through two batteries only does half a car then you need to wait two and a half hours for one battery to charge UPDATE: The seller reached out and sent 2 new batteries so I am now able to polish the whole car in one sitting. Product is as promised seems like a pretty decent quality unit. I really wish they would’ve come with the case for all the accessories and the buffer that would’ve really been nice. It’s all sitting in a box in the back of my pick up truck.

Loved the buffer until it fell apart on the second use. The hook and loop plate fell off the motor housing. It was held on only by the bearing friction. No bolt or mechanical fastener. I could not get the plate to stay on after that. I’m returning it and continuing my quest for the perfect buffer. If they could redesign the hook and loop plate attachment, it would be a great buffer. Addendum: Supplier reached out to me quickly after my return. Replacement arrived within 3 days. Looks like my first one was a lemon but the replacement is working awesomely. Very happy with the buffer but ecstatic about the customer service. Thank you Avhrit. ... show more
