  • NICE AND EASY

  • Unfortunate
Size: 20" Style: Gas
High hopes for this stove for a granny unit. Unfortunately oven turns off on its own during cooking! Which means longer cook times or ruined meals 😤 We also find the stove top is either on or off, there really isn’t a flame level other than on.

  • Great Unit - Easy Propane Conversion
Size: 20" Style: Gas
Great Stove! Perfect size for our yurt house. Has all features of a full size stove & oven, even including a few little bonus features (backlit dials, clock, timer, oven light, under-broiler storage). Conversion from natural gas to LPG Propane was quick and easy, with all parts provided, and clear instructions in box. Free shipping took 10 days, which I guess is reasonable considering it came from the other side of the country, and was around the holiday. Communication was clear, timely and accurate from AM Trucking. ... show more

  • Great aesthetic - poor design and execution
Size: 20" Style: Gas
The range is gorgeous but under-powered. The burners you’d use for most tasks are in the back, so the lowest and highest BTU burners are in front. Makes no sense. Plus the burners seem to not have good low-medium-high differentials. It’s either all out or very low. No middle, though I’d argue the “high” flame is more medium, anyway. The oven is tiny and heats unevenly and never to what you assume is the set temp. No matter what temp I set it at, the thermometer I have in it reads 300-325°, so baking anything means added time. Cookie batches were ruined and the cake I made came out done but not browned. ... show more

  • Good and bad
Size: 20" Style: Gas
I bought the 24" version of this range because it fit my aesthetic criteria (low back guard; fit with other appliances; etc.) and I liked the fact that the big burner was on front left. I have used it for about 6 months. I don't cook much. You definitely have to read and re-read the instruction manual, for example, to learn that you need to have the oven door totally open when you light the oven, otherwise you get a gas smell. But I've gotten used to it and so far it's been fine. I like the control of the flame and the small burner does a perfect simmer for oatmeal. Two issues: Last week I hand-swabbed the floor underneath the drawer and cut my finger on a sharp edge that runs along the front underside of the drawer. Today I hit my toe on it. It appears to be a join between the front steel and the underside of the drawer, not a defect of manufacture. But definitely one of design. Could be damaging for, e.g., a child playing near it or anyone who goes barefoot at home. The other thing is that the black enamel hobs are very sensitive to damage; the manual says clean immediately but I find that even a boiling water spill marks them permanently so they're not all shiny black. ... show more

  • Do not buy
Size: 24" Style: Gas
The top burners do not go low enough to "simmer." The oven temperature does not match the knob setting (about 25 degrees lower); the lowest temperature setting is 300 degrees; the oven turns off during the cooking process. For Thanksgiving, the oven shut off I believe four (4) times, making a 3 - 4 hour roast take much longer to cook. Spend a few extra dollars and buy a name brand such as GE, et cetera, do not waste your money on Avanti. ... show more

  • Pretty but that’s about it
Size: 24" Style: Gas
Product is nice looking and the size fit well with my Cabin. However, in less that two years the clock/timer/and backlight went out. Customer service was terrible when I called for help and offered no technical assistance. Also, I asked for help in how to adjust orifices for higher elevation and received no guidance for that either. My recommendation is to buy something less pretty that will work. ... show more

  • Thoughtless design results in frustrating use - Do not recommend.
Size: 20" Style: Gas
This is honestly the most frustrating range I have ever worked with. While nominally okay, the range has three design flaws that leave me continually frustrated: (1) No low temperatures: The oven does not go below 300F. If you need to slow cook something (e.g. brisket or pulled pork), you cannot use this. Similarly, all of the burners on the range have flames between High and Medium, there is no true low flame level. The only way to reduce temperature further is to move to a different burner (there is one Large, two Medium, and one Small). Because there is only one small burner, you can only simmer one thing at a time. (2) The Small burner is in the front: The small burner is nominally where you'll put something to simmer for a long time. Why is it in the front? Instead, I have to reach over the simmering dish to get to the Medium burners in the back. (3) Tiny interior oven dimensions: I know it's a 20" oven, but I've had several. I could always fit my 16"x14" cookie sheets. However, in this oven the interior is 17"x13.75". This is due to the thick oven walls and the fact that the rack supports are recessed into the wall instead of protruding out of them. In ovens this small, every .25" matters. Other annoyances: - Oven is bad at high temperatures (400F and above). Takes a long time to come up to temperature, and then varies wildly according to my oven thermometer. - When you drop the oven temperature (e.g. heat to 450F then drop to 375F), the oven will shut off. The pilot light is still burning, but the main burner never comes on again. Eventually you notice that your bread is sitting in a 200F oven, and is ruined. Good times. - Oven needs manual ignition (same as burners). Even my cheap old Premier range lit the oven automatically. It's very pretty, but this range seriously under-performs ranges that can be bought for half the price (e.g. Premier that I had previously). To be clear: Those ranges aren't great, but this one is worse. I really wish there were a solution for someone who lives in a small space and is serious about cooking. I would pay $2k or more for a good oven. Sadly, this isn't it. Pros: - Easy to clean top - ... That's about it? ... show more
