    Like a lot of other reviewers, this essentially made my night time gerd go away. I've had it now for two months. Before then, I would get an acid attack every night. Wake up with my throat burning, even stuff in my mouth. Sorry to be so graphic. I had dreams about choking or drowning that I attribute to these acid attacks. I would wake up from these dreams to find my throat burning. Now, no more dreams! For me, and apparently lots of other people, this slight incline is all needed to let gravity do its work. For me, the incline took just a few days to get used to. The foam is below the matress. There is no slipping or slippage. The only problem is that my motor memory required adjusting. After decades of knowing where everything was on my night table, now it was seven inches lower. It took about a month to adjust. No big deal. ... show more

    Wedge arrived quickly, perfect condition, no odor( as it was reported by other customers), working great: reflux symptoms contained! Beware of short wedges to be placed above the mattress, in the long run those will add lower back problems!!

    We bought this to help reduce acid reflux, help with breathing issues, and dizziness (inner ear issues). Raising the head of our bed was not an option so this was a great alternative. It DOES help with acid reflux, reduces snoring, and has almost completely cleared up the dizziness. However, the rise is so substantial that getting in bed is a challenge and it's easy to fall out when reaching for the night stand! In hindsight I wish we would have bought the 5 inch rise instead of the 7 inch. But when we read the reviews people said the 5 inch was too subtle and wished they'd gotten the 7 inch so that's why we opted for the higher rise. We figured our weight would squash it down to 5 inches haha! Not so! It keeps its full rise. We did not see in the description that you need to pull this product out of the packaging and let it fluff up for several hours before putting it under your mattress. We were doing this at bedtime and did not wait several hours. We put it under our mattress straight away and it didn't seem to matter, so take that for what it's worth. It's very soft! Add comfort to your mattress for sure! Our queen size came in two twin size pieces. Overall I'd say it's a good product for sure, it takes some getting use to. We've had it for a couple weeks now and are finally settling in. We do slide down the hill a bit in the night! ... show more

      • Fantastic product, and haven't had acid reflux ONCE since we got it!

    We have had this a year now, and have had ample time to try it out. I can't believe I hadn't reviewed it yet, so it's far past time that I did. My husband and I both used to get acid reflux with our regular mattress without this elevator pad. It was so awful! I would wake up with what felt like burning acid in my mouth, and sometimes worse. My husband had his own occurrences with that kind of thing also. I had been doing some researching for a way to tilt our bed or something, so that it might help. I found this pad from a company that I already had another product from (the orthopedic support wedge pillow system I had bought for my dad), and it was such great quality, that I trusted that this would be the same, and it sure is! Now, we DO occasionally wake up having slid down the mattress a bit, but it's not enough to make any difference cause we still don't get acid reflux anymore. We have found that using flannel sheets, and wearing flannel or cotton pajamas does help not to slide down, and it is not by any means every night that it happens. It's once or twice a month, and as I said, it still has us sloped enough that the once awful issue no longer exists. We have recommended it to my in-laws because my father n law sleeps in a recliner because of his sinus issues, as well as reflux. He thinks he needs it to be even higher, but we keep telling him to try it. Maybe he'll listen one day. The Queen size 7" wedge set is perfect for us. I was worried that it would be too high, but you can't even feel that you're sleeping at an incline. In case this is something that matters, as it does to me, there is only a very very slight odor when you first open it, but by the time it fully expands, it has gone away. I am extremely sensitive to odors and chemicals, and this is another reason why I love this company, because I don't have to worry about it. All of their products are made with safer ingredients. Oh, and it took the full amount of time to expand, so please let it do that before laying on it. I can't recall exactly how long it is recommended to wait, but it did completely expand to the full size. Highly recommend! ... show more
