Could not believe I held off buying this switch box for so long. I've installed other switch panels where you have to run power, ground and each individual wire to each accessory and or separate relays from the inside your vehicle cab, it can turn into a "rat nest" of wires quick. With this Auxbeam kit only one wire runs to the inside of the vehicle cab, relays are built-in and the rest of the wires connect into the auxbeam fuse box in the engine compartment, which I find easier to manage the cables than under or behind the dashboard. Also comes with a couple of mounting bracket options, which is a time saver, no need to fab up your own brackets. The features on this kit has are pretty versatile, you can turn your led lights into strobes, steady on, or a momentary switch for a horn. Plus no complicated steps to switch from stobe to stead on, only takes a couple of seconds to switch. Also on this kit you can switch the color on the control panel to almost any color you want. I read other reviews saying that this kit is pretty pricey, but I think with all of the features it comes with it's worth it, I can see this being installed on a construction vehicle or people that work on the side of the roads that need to have work lights and turn those same work lights to stobes without running any additional modules or switches. I would definitely buy this again in the future when I need to install a bunch of accessories on my vehicle. ... show more

All products in this review were purchased by me at full price and I am not paid by anyone or affiliated with anyone. I'm not one to care about an unboxing experience, but this was quite enjoyable. It felt I found something new with every layer I uncovered. Everything was packaged very well, and in new condition which I would not have expected otherwise. Now I have watched a ton of videos on these types of panels, and use to install 800mhz radios in Pub Safety vehicles in the past, so I am very familiar with these types of units. So far so good...I'm impressed...a very good kit! I'm running Rough Country Ditch Lights, 42 inch 6 mode Auxbeam straight light bar, a pair of 7 inch Auxbeam 6 mod light bars and will soon have 2 3 inch Round Nilight Amber fogs on a license plate bracket. Everything I did is in the pics. Lights installed on a 2019 Jeep Cherokee Trailhawk. I didn't need Bluetooth although it would have been cool so I have the regular RGB 8 gang switch panel. I did however need the ability to turn the panel off if I wanted. The auto dimming is the only thing I will knock....it should be something you can manually set but you can't win them all on a budget. I would question waterproofing, but I'm not testing that on a unit I paid my hard earned money for. You can run multimode lights with this panel but you lose a switch to trigger the mode change. With that being said I wish I bought the 12gang...live and learn. I have been using this for several weeks now with no issues. I will suggest that you use wire ferrule to install your leads coming from your lights to get a solid connection. Great kit, great price and I would buy it again! ... show more

The hard part is determining where to mount the thing. Everything else is cake. This was installed on a 2008 Jeep Wrangler JKUR. I had to cut & drill the included mounting parts to get a proper fitment under the hood.

I tested this side by side with a lesser known brand called Sunpie. Both switching panels came in 8 gang configuration. Power loads: I connected my 9 inch Nilight LED offroad pods to both of these on the 30A fuse (the lights pull 25A at 13.2V) and they both performed as intened, the only caveat being that the 30A fuse was getting pretty hot (120F+ @ 70F ambient) but that's normal considering the load was pretty close to the max rating on the fuse. For my second test I hooked up my Peltier cooler rated at 120W on a 10A fuse. After the initial pull of 9A+ for a couple seconds the current draw stabilized at 8.5A and the panels performed again as intended with the fuse going over 120F again. The differences between the $130 Sunpie and $240$ Auxbeam are obvious in the RGB and extra functions department. The Sunpie is barebones, it only offers auto-dimming but no momentary switch or pulse/strobe options. If those are needed the Auxbeam is the obvious choice. Another difference is the size of the control panel, the Auxbeam has a roughly 30-40% bigger panel which might be easier to interface with in an off-road-ing environment. Apart from these subtle differences both kits come with identical accessories and mounting options. The relay/power distribution boards are identical to the point where they can easily be confused if you mix them up. Both have potted solid state relays so they're not serviceable and they use identical fuses and cases. The Auxbeam's case looks nicer IMO. In conclusion, if you don'y need the fancy RGB control and momentary/pulse/strobe features you're better off spending $100 less for the Sunpie. ... show more

I had the 6 gang in a tundra and now I have this 8gang in my jeep. Both have worked flawlessly and simple to set up keeps you vehicles after market parts ( lights, winches air compressors etc.) Wiring nice and neat no rats nest wiring or possible fire Hazzards with this it's complete with fuses everything you need to basically plug and play, I'm becoming a huge fan of auxbeam products. ... show more
