  • Programmable to mimic other sensors
First off, these are expensive. As just TPMS sensors, too expensive, about twice the cost of basic sensors. That said, these fit a fairly specific niche and they're the only way I've found to do what they do. Specifically, with the matching Autel tool (yes, it does have to be an Autel tool and Autel sensors), you can read the ID's of your existing sensors, and "clone" them onto these sensors. If you're like me, and have summer and snow tires, and have them mounted on two sets of wheels, you can have cloned TPMS sensors, so you can swap your tires without having to reprogram your car every time. Alternately, if for whatever reason you need to replace a sensor but can't reprogram the car, these will allow you to clone that sensor instead. It's a nice feature, for a small market niche, but I'm glad they exist. They programmed easily using a TS408 tool in my case, pulled the sensor ID's from the set the car "knows", programmed that onto the new set, and my car is happy again with no TPMS warnings. ... show more

  • Product works as described! Great Customer Service!
Ordered this and the USB programmer. Programmer worked well. Wanted to change the bad one first to prove to me that it worked. Problem was that it was difficult to determine which sensor was bad. Not the fault of the equipment, but just an observation. Because the sensor was dead, the programmer picked up the other sensors. Needed to change two out before I got to the one that was bad. On the next car, I figured out to take a reading, then reduce the air pressure and take another reading to see if it corresponded to the reduced air pressure. As I moved around the car, I reduced the pressure to different levels to ensure I knew which tire was which. Then I got a reading that I couldn't ID....it was the spare. This time, I got the bad sensor in one try. Now that I know it works, I'll change out the rest. The sensors I received were missing the torque pin. I emailed customer service and the next day, they sent some to me in the mail. When you are installing these, make sure you have a torque wrench that can meter to 4 N-m or 3 ft-lbs. ... show more

  • I love these little sensors
First off, if you don’t have an Autel tool, find someone (Or somewhere) that does, because these are not plugs and play. You have to program them for YOUR CAR, then install them, then relearn your positions. I already knew that, but I imagine some folks don’t. Second, if you’re going to get a universal sensor, Autel is a great brand. Once you learn a little about the scan tool, programming these is a cinch. I would recommend Autel sensors to anyone. If they’re good enough for Sheriff’s Patrol and Fire/Rescue Response vehicles, they’re good enough for you. I only give 4 stars for ease of use because you DO need the proper scan tool and a little know how to use these universal sensors. ... show more

  • Seem to work well so far
I put these on a 2005 E55 AMG. Pretty straightforward to install if you have the right tools to do it. The really nice thing about these is that they can be used for 433 MHz and 315 MHz cars. I programmed them to be 315 MHz and my car seems to be able to read them OK. I will see how long these last. I put Mobiletron ones on my other car and they worked initially but now they do not work. They take a long time to wake up. These Autel ones seem to wake up pretty quickly so we will see. Programming is not super intuitive with the TS401 but works OK. I think people reporting DOAs don't realize that these need the Autel programmer to program and activate. I tried just reading them before programming just as a test and they would not react at all. It would be good if Autel put clear warnings every where they could that these need to be programmed first. Hope they last. I will report back if they do not. ... show more

  • Great Programmable Sensors!
I was able to program the sensors right out of the box! Two of the OEM sensors were bad since they were 15 years old. I downloaded the HEX ID #s for the original sensors using the AUTEL TS508WF tool and programmed the new sensors. It took 5 minutes. I took the new sensors to the tire shop and they replaced the original sensors for $20. I will use the AUTEL tool and new sensors when it's time to replace the OEM sensors on my other vehicles. The dealership wanted to charge more than $500 to replace the sensors. I would highly recommend the tool and sensors. The TPMS light was gone within 5 minutes. ... show more

  • Lasted only 3 years - Should last 5 to 10!
Lasted only 3 years - Should last 5 to 10, sucks, I have to replace all of them again, so soon, this is getting expensive when you add up mechanic fees to put them in the tires on top of the cost...

  • My first adventure into the world of cloning sensors....
......and it worked perfectly! Used an Autel TS508 to make an identical coded winter set for my daughter's 2018 Toyota RAV4. Follow the instructions! Keep all of the sensors well separated as you go thru the process so that you get 4 unique sensors matching the original (Pacific Industries, IIRC) units 1 for 1. Also, make sure your software on the tool is up to date as they've released several revisions since I bought the tool. When the first snow approached we swapped the winter set of 4 in, stashed the 3 season set in the attic of the garage, and the vehicle never skipped a beat. ... show more

  • Awesome Product!
Great Sensors! They were easy to program with autel pad. They actually don't destroy the looks of my rims due to the high quality metal they are made from. Can't go wrong with Autel Products.
