Don't take me wrong this is the most convenient idea for snow time, is easy to use, the price is great, really works. BUT the there are some details that need be addressed like the front part doesn't last much and just broken apart (after that happened we fixed with waterproof type), I think the material used on the base board need be higher and cover the front 5 inches maybe with reflective affect. The media could not be loaded. I had seen these on a friend while hiking thru the Florida swamps; we all got our shoes soaked and covered in mud, while she whipped out these little booties that she had tucked into her backpack, thereby being the only one on the hike to have dry clean feet at the end 😅😂 I bought them and finally got to use them last weekend! Extremely durable; they are like ponchos for your shoes, with a sole on the bottom for tread and sturdiness to not have your shoes damage the material. They zipped up nice and snug, and came up right to below my knee, which was perfect for the minor wading we had to do. They were very warm, I could feel my legs sweating instantly; like going for a jog wearing a trash bag lol Extremely light weight and easy to carry with us, and folded right back up into the bags they arrived in. We purchased these in June, 2022 for a upcoming sailing trip in Alaska's coastal waters; the wilderness shoreline required frequent shuttling from boat to land via inflatable raft. Landing & Boarding rafts requires frequent wading. Our guide recommended 'muck boots' which are rigid, waterproof, & expensive. We prefer hiking shoes, so opted to purchase these shoe covers, hoping they'd keep us dry and save some $s. Happy to report that these were great for our intended purpose - they lasted through 10 days of frequent boat-shore-boat shuttles, landing on rocky shores and scrambling up the banks. Now, that we're back in our NC Mountains, it's fall hiking season. We just took a lengthy hike with several larger stream crossings which either require wading barefoot, or some risky rock hopping. I remembered we had these 'Alaska' boots in the garage and decided to carry a pair (13 ounces). Four of us used the same pair (sequentially) at each crossing - they worked really well and are reasonably quick to don & doff (about 4 minutes total). With care, I'm guessing that a pair of these will last for 15-30 uses prior to some type of significant failure - by careful I mean: don't hike in them, avoid anything that's sharp, avoid too much force when pulling-on over your shoe. These are a cheap solution if you have an occasional need for a waterproof overboot. ... show more
