  • These are a SOLID choice for someone looking for Bluetooth headphones on a budget.
Color: Sliver
These were my first pair of Bluetooth headphones. Before buying these, I watched a few tech videos on YouTube that recommended these headphones. I was hesitant to spend so little on Bluetooth headphones, but these were a HUGE surprise. I was able to utilize the NFC functionality for quick pairing when I first set them up. And dealing with switching between devices or just connecting them from being turned off is a breeze. The sound quality was actually VERY surprising. For the price, I was worried that the sound quality wouldn't be great (in comparison, I also have a pair of the Beats Solo 2, which say what you will, are premium headphones with a pretty good sound quality). The bass was mixed just right for my taste, not too heavy and not too light. Not only do they control music, but they also can control video on certain services. The headphones have a surprisingly good build quality, and they have a nice feeling material covering them that makes them feel more luxurious. My only problem is that they become uncomfortable after long periods of time. I have a very large head, therefore that might be a cause of the discomfort. I have had to accommodate for this with headphones in the past when they don't fit quite right. Overall, I am extremely pleased with them. WELL worth the price. ... show more

  • You know what? Better then expected.
Color: Sliver
I don't always buy Bluetooth headphones since I normally prefer analog headphones but I took the chance in hopes of getting quality over big name brands. Within the week of use and only using these headphones, I was both satisfied and relieved to know I didn't waste my money. The audio is good for most genres/styles of music but I find it leaning towards the bass end. That isn't bad by any means since I can always use equalizers on my phone to balance out my preference to whatever music I choose. The battery life with my use gets me around until the end of the day and the charge time is good, not to fast and not to slow so it's good to have a spare set of earphones while the Augusts are charging. The controls are tactile and clicky so it feels pretty responsive. There are rare occasions in which I press the button but won't Up/Down the volume, Play/Pause and Next/Previous the audio but that's just probably still adjusting to the feel of the buttons, every button for any device requires a specific kind of pressure so it isn't Augusts fault and more on my end. It's comfortable enough and it's very light weight. The cushions on the ear piece are soft enough accompanied with a sturdy swivel fit design, at least it doesn't feel like it's crushing my head which is nice and there is a bit of cushion in the middle of the headband but it's very subtle. You don't feel it on your head but I'd rather have some form of cushion then hard work plastic. The build is mostly plastic with some metal inside which would be the adjustable bands for head size. I hope my review was helpful and maybe you'll be just as satisfied with the headphones as I am. ... show more

  • Nice Minimalist Bluetooth Headphones with Great Sound!
Color: Sliver
I purchased these to listen to music and pod-casts at work via Bluetooth from my iPhone. Design: They are very comfortable. The ear cushions are soft and do not cause my ears to sweat like cups that completely surround the ear. The design of the headphones is very modern, looking like a device that may have been engineered by Apple. The right ear piece has a small pad to control the play/volume of what you are listening to. It's nice that instead of searching for my iPhone or digging it out of my pocket, I can pause the music simply by hitting the multi-button on the earpiece. The ear-pads adjust by pulling them down from the padded headband. Overall, the earphones are very lightweight so it is easy to forget you are wearing them. Sound: Overall the headphones are quite good for Bluetooth only use. The sound table itself is bass heavy, much in the way Beats emphasize the bass. This will probably be a plus for teenagers, but if you are looking for a reference response, these cans probably aren't for you. I was actually quite surprised that the small drivers produce as much bass response as they do. Battery Life: Great - haven't had any issues with it. The unit recharges via a USB to Micro-USB connector hidden at the base of the headband. Pairing: Seems to pair pretty well to Bluetooth devices. I've been able to walk around my large office without dropping the signal at all while my iPhone sat at my desk. Overall, the August EP636 is a quality pair of Bluetooth (ONLY) headphones at a very reasonable price. I would recommend them to anyone looking for good sounding wireless headphones. They aren't going to be AKG or Bose quality soundwise, but for the price they sound like gold. ... show more

  • Great for the price
Color: Red
I'd bought a different pair of cheap bluetooth headphones and wish I'd gone with these first -- they cost $10 more but definitely worth it. They're lightweight, adjustable, lightly padded, and don't press too much against my ears (and my cartilage piercings). The sound quality is good for listening to music, podcasts and audiobooks. The controls (skip tracks, play/pause/speak, volume) are simple. They charge quickly and hold a charge for a long time (about two days of regular use). And the range is good so I can leave my phone in one place while cleaning the house and listening to audiobooks. And they're metallic red. I usually wear these headphones while cleaning house, doing laundry and working out at the gym. I don't use these for making phone calls, so I can't say how well or poorly they work for that. They don't fold flat. They don't have a 3.5 mm jack, so you can't switch to using a cord -- it's bluetooth only with these (which is why they're lightweight). And if flashing LEDs keep you awake, don't recharge this headset in your bedroom while sleeping. ... show more
