  • they are very good, odd texture though
Style: Strawberries 6.4 oz
they taste good. arrived in good shape. i thought they would have either a more rubbery texture or a "snap" to them when broken like other dried fruit; but these strawberries were more dry-like and crumbly. The volatile price fluxulation finally landed to where i ordered these. the packaging container "can" arrived only 2/3 full. there are a lot of them and will take a long time to use them up; i ordered too many for me. i would suggest the buyer repackage into smaller quantities inside sealed bags if you aren't going to use them up quickly as humidity will negatively affect product. product came with 2 (TWO) desiccant packets inside. ... show more

  • Very good quality
Style: Strawberries 6.4 oz
The Augason Farms Freeze Dried Sliced Strawberries are very good quality, low sugar, and a good value. I did find the can difficult to open, but it does keep them fresh for a very long time. They are nice and crisp, as they should be, and I like that there is a good quantity. They are good for baking, or adding to cereals. They can be rehydrated for things like pancakes or crumbled to add flavor to frostings and fillings. Discovering freeze dried strawberries has been my downfall. While healthy, they are awfully expensive as snacks go. I used to order a box of little packets, and with each delivery those packets got smaller, until I cancelled my subscription. I really do like that these are not meted out in 1/4oz parcels, which to my mind are suitable for toddlers only. These also keep well if you put them in an airtight container after you open them. This can has lasted us at least a month, and they still taste fresh, because I sealed them up in a container, immediately after opening them. I expect I will be ordering more when these are gone becuase it is nice not to have 1/4 oz meted out. ... show more

  • These are sweet strawberries
Style: Strawberries 6.4 oz
Im amazed at how sweet these are. Ive bought several brands of these freeze dried strawberries and this brand is the best. They are very brittle though and will be some strawberry dust in the bottom of the can. You can soak the dust in water though for a good treat also

  • Best freeze dried Strawberries I've ever tried
Style: Strawberries 6.4 oz
I have 2 cans of these. 1 in case of emergency, the other I decided to open to try. AMAZING flavor. The pieces are actual slices and are good sized. Minimal small broken pieces. I have added this to my subscription as store bought strawberries are usually hit or miss. I will be adding these to cereals, home made granola bars and eating them just as they are. ... show more

  • Freeze Dried Strawberries
Style: Strawberries 6.4 oz
We originally started ordering these during the pandemic, just in case real fruit became hard to get but we continue to order because they are delicious, convenient and an easy sweet treat anytime. We have ordered these multiple times since 2020 (over 9 orders so far with multiple cans each order) and have even shared with my mother and sister-in-Law. It's perfect for snacks, added to your breakfast cereal or yogurt...the options are endless. We have learned, however, that sometimes despite your effort you cannot finish the can before the slices get tad soggy (2 pkg oxygen absorbers included in each can), so we are now separating & vacuum sealing them into portion packs. We have never had a bad batch and it's packaged to last years if unopened! ... show more

  • Great product but expensive & hard to open
Style: Strawberries 6.4 oz
Like the title suggests, it is a great product but jeez the price. As a someone on a tight fixed income in this economy with a ramen sized budget named “90’s Waif Belly Budget,” It’s very rare for me to purchase fresh fruit, and when I’m able to treat myself I get stuck wanting to make something fancy as it is very much a treat & half go bad before I can eat them. dehydrated or Freeze dried fruit is great when you need something other than empty carbs & beans. For the standard price I believe the containers should have at least 8-10oz. There’s definitely room for at least 8oz. I appreciate that it’s in a large tin can preventing the strawberry slices from being into powder but theres still a lot of powder at the bottom from being shook in processing & transit. It would also be great it was sealed with a thick foil pull tab instead of fully canned. By the time I got the container open, I’d spent an hour repositioning dislocated & subluxed thumbs & finger joints, wrists, and had to toss the 2 can openers that broke in the process. Serious strength is needed to open for sure. Other than difficulty opening and price issues it’s a great product. I can rehydrate the fruit or leave it be and put it in oatmeal or in pancake/waffle batter & it’s delicious. ... show more
