On my 2013 JK, the lights were easy to install with left and right side indications molded inside. I read other reviews saying that they can be installed if they're on the incorrect side, but the fit won't be perfect--so take a look at the markings inside to save yourself that grief. Also, the lights themselves are super bright, the brake lights and the reverse lights especially. I have a 2008 JKU and my taillights were the original. A few things I wanted to point out. 1. These are plug and play. 2. I have LED halo fog/headlights and previously when using my turn signal it would blink fast. After installing these taillights it fixed the issues. (Built in resistors) 3. So... read many of the one star reviews. Especially about gaps in the mounting. It mounts with taps to the outside, and screws to the inside. Drivers side took some ompfff to seat the tabs fully. Once in place it fits nicely. However, if you have it on the wrong side (also upside down) it does go on! However, NOW it leaves a gap. Switch sides and go... Hardest part of this install was disconnecting the original lights!! Oh, just a note...when connecting the new set....push VERY hard. The connector will go together fairly easy but the final CLICK ( it will click) takes a little more effort. Very bright! Reverse lights up nicely! Illuminates for my backup cam far better than the OEM! If I have durability of function issues I will EDIT post. At this point all is good!! ... show more

These lights are a nice upgrade in appearance and functionality. Installation is easy, true plug-n-play. The plastic used on the lens needs improvement, though. After about a year the top of the lens has started to degrade, which raises questions about durability.

These lights are really good, and a great value. Well constructed and solid, they were super easy to swap out on my 2008 JK in less than 15 minutes no joke. I had zero hyper-flicker and no other problems. Truly plug and play! You just need a Philips head screwdriver. My JK paint was treated by the previous owner, and so the original paint is slightly lighter and so I am always worried whether aftermarket parts will fit as precisely as the original and not expose the original paint. These lights do fit perfectly, so no original paint was exposed. Awesome. Besides looking much cooler than the original brake lights, these lights are much more visible to other drivers and I feel much safer with them installed. Oh, and the reverse light is probably 4 or 5x brighter than the stock reverse light, so right on! ... show more
