  • YIKES Bubbles ?
Got this board for my son, it sat inside my house in plastic until her returned home from being away this summer. We used it for the first time this weekend and the next morning I noticed large bubbles. Unfortunately because we didn't use it right away I cannot return it now. Also the middle fin came right off . I do realize its a " budget" board but more than one session would be fair. ... show more

  • Good board for the price. Real wood stringers.

It was fun for smaller days to get used to a shorter board, but my middle fin and leash ripped out within a few weeks. Fins are smaller so there is not much traction on turns, but for the price it was fun for a while.

  • Fun for lakes too !
Lightweight. I used this as a swim floaty at the lake this past summer. Cooler looking than wearing water wings. I never stood up on it, because I lack the balance, but it kept my 180 pound body afloat while I relearned swimming. A few words of caution : store it fins side up ! I put this inside the back of my SUV, and had it fins down, but they began to warp. and yes, I lost some weight :) ... show more

  • Waste of money
The board is coming apart after 4-5 times in the water. It was always stored carefully and never damaged. My 11 year old daughter used it in 2 foot waves. The cover is coming off the core. Do not buy a Atom board.

  • Terrible Quality Surfboard
First off the fins are poorly designed and do not fit snug to the board no matter how hard you attempt to attach them. This allows water to seep into the core after the very first use which destroys and waterlogs the styrofoam core. The second problem was the way they packaged it because it was wrapped up so tightly that the foam top itself was damaged upon opening the box. The third problem was the first (and only) time we brought it out on the water for my young nephew to surf it could barely keep him afloat and he weighs about 60 pounds. I thought I would try buying a cheaper surfboard to teach him on to see if he liked it but instead I realized you have to buy a quality (better yet even a used quality) board so that you don't regret having someone's first surfing experience be ruined. Terrible product, terrible design, and bad enough where I have bought a lot of things on Amazon but have never taken the time to review a single one of them. Steer clear of this aweful surfboard and save to get a board that you can actually have fun on. ... show more

  • Get What You're Paying For
My 11 year old loves her board. Took it to PC last week in time for some big waves. She stayed in shallows, but lost a fin each day from the board. Now trying to find replacement fins. Board itself holding up great. Compared to the cheapest used "real" boards with a lot of mileage on them, a great deal and a great deal less dangerous to her during wipe outs. ... show more
