First of all the flexible shaft didn’t appear to have been greased. It took all of 10 minutes to disassemble and grease up with high temperature grease. Unlike some on offer this didn’t come with a spare inner shaft so greasing it up will help with longevity. People have mentioned the cords are too short. I work on an old kitchen table in my shop and the cord length between the foot switch and motor was perfect. I made a support using 3/8” threaded rod bent over at the top and bolted onto a plywood base. The only problem was that the motor is really torquey and threatened to twist off the sand. I added a couple of nuts (an advantage of a threaded rod) and locked it in with a cable tie. Perfect. I carve small wooden models and use burrs and it’s perfect. I reserve the higher speed for finishing (no need to sand) and use a slightly slower speed for stock removal. The foot switch is smooth and gives great control. So far I’ve had no overheating problems. Time will tell on longevity but so far it’s been perfect. ... show more

I have been using it for sometime now and it does a decent job from something being made in China, I have nothing against Chinese but their quality control is terrible I did not care where things were made but now I stay away as much as I can from chinese stuff. Let me not digress too much on that subject and go to the grinder, I am happy with its performance, very powerfull, can adjust to different shank's diameter and it is my favorite feature, has forward-reverse, comes with a variable speed foot control that is decent in performance although I know there are better rheostad out there but it works, my least favorite thing is the size of the mandrel, it is a bit dificult to grab it in a pencil grip to do presice grindind jobs but again not bad at all, this thing seems to be well made from the outside looks. Time will tell on longevity as many Chinese stuff that I had bought and failed within a short period of time. I come from a time that you trusted brands and bought thing for a long time. It's extremely versatile and quite durable so far. It literally outperforms both my Dremel and my die grinder. Obviously, the short cord (shaft) is a sacrifice, but you can't transfer this much torque and power down a 10 foot cord. I highly recommend this one and may actually upgrade it for the 1,000W model for the simple fact that the forward/reverse feature is intriguing, but the extra 7,000 RPM can definitely make a difference in regards to material removal and buffing. ... show more

I did not see the question about frequency. So speed is higher than advertised. If low speed is important look elsewhere. Other than this the tool works fine. However, there is a bigger problem. The length of the cords. The cord from the motor to controller is only 5 ft. My bench is 38" and the hanger is another 42" tall, so I need 80" just to reach the floor and really need more than that to position the controller. Buy a 6ft extention cord 3 prong. The cord from the controller is only 4 ft long and will not reach the outlet on my bench. Again, an extention cord is necessary. One would think that a tool like this would come with 15 ft cords. ... show more

I love this machine it works absolutely spectacularly much better than my Dremel with a flexible shaft the fact that the tool kit included extra brushes for the motor was just an added bonus plus the kit of tools that came with it are all of high quality I would not hesitate to buy this again even if I had to choose between a Dremel with the flexible shaft I know this machine will Outlast three Dremel rotary tools the foot pedal is just a five-star extra! The ability to control your speed exactly is a real blessing sometimes you have to run fast most of the times I run very slow so the foot pedal is awesome I would buy this again in a heartbeat ... show more
