  • Noctua Edition RTX 5080 - No Regrets
Style: Noctua Size: RTX5080|OC
I was looking to upgrade from a MSI RTX 3080 12GB for 2k ultrawide gaming, and at the time there were only options for ASUS branded Geforce cards that were not a month away from delivery. I've never owned an ASUS card before, but decided to go ahead with the ASUS RTX 5080 Noctua Edition. So this wasn't my first choice. I was a little concerned about how the Noctua brown would look in my blacked out case, but there is barely any brown visible from the side when the GPU is seated, so it was a no-issue. If you're concerned about the brown, don't be... you can't really see it. The top plate has some dark brown, but even in a blacked out case it looked good. No flashy lights or crazy decals, just a high performance GPU. The first thing when unboxing this card I noticed was its huge size, the GPU cooler is much larger than older generations and takes up almost the whole length of my mid tower case. Installation wasn't too difficult, I didn't experience any issues. As far as performance, at factory clock speeds, the main thing I noticed is the card barely warms up at all, and its basically silent when gaming. After a couple hours of gaming it was at 46 degrees! I overclocked it to 2800mhz and it was stable at 48 degrees! In 20 years of PC gaming I've never seen anything like it. Cyberpunk 2077 on ultra with DLSS auto & frame generation ran beautifully at 3440x1440 180+ FPS with no input latency issues. I tried a few other games like Battlefield 6, Fortnite, The First Descendant with high or better settings on each ran stable at 120+ FPS and the core temps didn't exceed 48 degrees. I recommend using a GPU bracket for this card because of the size, just to keep it secure in place. It comes with one you can prop between the card and something else, which is kinda tacky, but functional, practical and magnetic and does the job fine for me. Another recommendation, if you're using this for gaming... use the display port over HDMI, you'll get the best performance. Overall, ASUS & Noctua produced a quality product and i'm completely satisfied. ... show more

  • Excellent Performance for Gaming, Creative Work, and AI
Style: Prime Size: RTX5080
I’m running this ASUS Prime RTX 5080 in my second machine (i9-13900KF, 128GB DDR5, Samsung 990 Pro SSD), and it delivers fantastic performance across the board. While the Prime line isn’t as premium in build/cooling as the TUF series, the raw power of this GPU really shines. How I use it: Gaming — Cyberpunk 2077 looks absolutely stunning on this card. Ray tracing and high settings run smooth, and the graphics are jaw-dropping. Photo editing & video production — 4K timelines run without lag, and rendering/exporting projects is quick and reliable. AI & ComfyUI — I keep my RTX 5070 for lighter models, but the 5080 is my go-to for high-quality image generation and video generation. Models like Wan 2.2 work well, producing consistent results with no major slowdowns. Performance benchmarks: PassMark scored this system at 15,893 overall (99th percentile), with: CPU Mark: 54,299 (98th percentile) 3D Graphics Mark: 40,981 (99th percentile) Disk Mark: 53,705 (99th percentile) These results match what I see daily — incredible gaming visuals, fast creative production, and strong AI capability. Highlights: Amazing graphics in modern AAA games like Cyberpunk 2077. Excellent balance for both gaming and creative/AI workflows. Prime series build is simpler than TUF, but still solid and stable. Bottom line: The ASUS Prime RTX 5080 is a powerhouse GPU. It handles gaming, video production, and AI workloads seamlessly. On my setup, it complements my 5070 perfectly — with the 5070 for lighter tasks, and the 5080 delivering the heavy-duty, high-quality performance I need. ... show more

  • Excellent performance and heat management. Easy to OC
Style: ROG Astral Size: RTX5080|OC
I built a new PC with Intel Core 9 Ultra 285K, Asus Astral 5080 OC GPU, G.Skill Trident Z5 RGB RAM, Samsung 9100 and 990 (boot). Benchmark show good results. I was worried the fans not running under load. After some reach, the default profile under 50c will not kick in colling fans. This board is designed to run stable at 80-90c range. What a relief. This board's build quality is top notch. It employs 2 cooling fans and large heatsink. Maybe over kill but it does provide peace of mind. The defaul OC is sweet extra. I have not played too much OC yet. May spend some time on OC once there is such need. Overall, I highly recommend this card and do think the extra premium worth it. ... show more
