This is a pretty good product. It was easy to put inside the computer and screw in, also read my DvDs for the computers initial software extremely fast. When you receive the disc for this product and install it, the product comes with some software that I have yet to utilize but seems pretty cool. The software is "ASUS E-Green" "Cyberlink PowerBackup" and "CyberLink Power2Go 8". There are many features that come with this product, and burning CD`s seems pretty easy, although I have yet to fully utilize the product. There is a small read disc on my monitor now, so I assume I just drag and drop files to this red disc, insert a CD, and it will start to burn. Memory-C also replies very quickly whenever I chat with them. Good company, good product. ... show more

    • 4K reader that can be made "Friendly"
Was having some problems reading a couple of 4K Blu-Rays on my other Asus "Friendly" drive so decided to pick up a different model to see if that would work. It arrived with a post 3.0 firmware and needed to downgrade it. Thankfully thanks to the folks on the makemkv forums I was able to find and download a program that easily reverts the firmware to a more "Friendly" version and it was able to read the discs my other drive had problems with. Note it is a Blu-Ray reader only, it can't burn Blu-Ray's. Definitely worth the purchase price though. ... show more

    • Great drive but noisy.
The drive is great, it can read all the disks that I need it to. It is quite a bit louder then past drives so it lost one star for that.

    • Good Luck with VLC Bluray Setup...
It works wonderfully - but you have to do all this crazy back door stuff to get it to work with VLC. Great product otherwise. Once I got it to work, it worked.
