    • asics fits me perfectly
i had the nimbus 17, two pairs of the 22, the gel 360, and now the 24. while the 360's were the most expensive out of them, they were also the least comfortable out of all of them. the 17s felt like walking on clouds but the heel support area did not feel like a good fit, i had to step on one side of them before putting them on so they can feel a bit more tolerable. the 22's i liked, but the mesh portion tears quite easily. the biggest problem with buying online shoes is not knowing if they will fit to where you are comfortable with them. i am extremely surprise the 24s fit just right, right out of the box. i can see where some reviewers said it did not feel wide enough for them but for me it was just right since the 22s felt a little wider. back to the 24s. well the inserts felt like they were undulated instead of just flat which is a good thing. they are cushion soft, snug, and very light as well. also i like the tongue portion of the 24's, they seem to add a snugger fit without having to tight the laces so tight that it hurts your feet. these 24s just fit right all around for me. i'm impressed asics. edit: 4/14/2023 the feel, fit, comfort are so nice that i bought another pair and thinking of getting a third. i do not even feel like i need to take them off even after having them on for 9 plus hours. seems asics make a new version and once that version is gone (by shoe size) then its gone and i dont want to take a chance on having to wait for another version that is equally good or better. i have 2 of these and 1 pair of gel 360s which are in good condition but are not comfortable like the 24s. most likely will get another pair that i can rotate them to give them longevity. edit: 21 april 23. so i bought 3 of these 24 series so far but i noticed something about the 3rd shoe. it is the same 24 nimbus series but in the black/gun metal color but there is something different about it. the other ones are in a safety yellow/black and light steel/white. the yellow/black and light steel/white fit identically and just perfect (for my feet). however the black/gun metal colored shoe feels like it is missing an extra layer of cushioning. i have extremely sensitive feet so i can tell the difference. the shoe still fits nice and comfy, but not as cushiony as the yellow/black and light steel/white colored shoes. i would rate the black/gun metal a 4.5 stars while i rate the yellow/black and light steel/white a perfect 5 stars. it just seems odd to me that these are supposed to be identical shoes (aside from color) but there is a difference in cushion depending on the color. i will probably buy a 4th pair because this 24 gel nimbus series make my feet feel so good. i dont want to risk them running out of my size while they work on their next series and it may not fit like these. so i could rotate through them evenly and they will last for years. Bought my 4th pair the cherry tomato color. It fits and feels identical to the bright green and steel white/blue. So I'm very happy with my purchases. Walking on clouds. ... show more

    • Comfortable right out of the box
No need to buy insoles. These shoes have great cushioning and good arch support. Like all Asics shoes they run at least 1/2 size small so keep that in mind. The shoes came new and untouched in the original Asics box. I love the color! I always buy something that adds to visibility. Very good shoes.

    • Excellent cushioning but two complaints about fit

I've exclusively worn Men's Asics gel-nimbus for over 15 years now, on the advice of my podiatrist who is nationally known and the team podiatrist for an NFL franchise. This latest iteration of the Nimbus feels lighter than previous versions and provides superior cushioning and stability. My primary complaint is the fit - they're way too narrow. I'm a woman who's measures a men's medium (regular) width 9. These Nimbus are soooo narrow across the toe box and really rub. I'm sure they'll loosen a bit from wear but it's disheartening to feel them causing blisters right out of the box. Why doesn't Asics just stick with the same fit and last that they've used forever? A secondary problem is the HUGE tongue that's entirely too long and the idiotic tongue loop (for the laces to go under) that's inexplicably sewn into the very top of the tongue, where it's useless, rather than where the tongue loops have always been for decades - in the middle of the tongue. The loop also goes all the way around the top of the tongue to the back of the tongue, which is not only useless, but causes the tongue not to lie flat. What was Asics thinking? Overall, though, the Nimbus is still a superior sneaker and these two complaints (re: narrow and tongue) aren't quite enough to make me stop buying them. ... show more

Fits great and looks amazing. I ordered the size 9 and fits a little snug. Most people like to get 1/2 size bigger on sneakers. Tried Saucony and brooks, but these were the most comfortable. Very happy !!!

    • Fantastic shoe.
This was my second purchase in the Gel Nimbus model line. This is a fantastic running shoe to wear if you suffer from foot pain or plantar fasciitis. I am not a runner but have found this shoe to be the answer that I have been looking for to help me get through a day with less foot pain and fatigue . It’s by far the most cushioned shoe I’ve worn that also has the arch support I need. As of this writing, I have completely worn out the shoe after a year and a half and moved on to the Gel Nimbus 26. It’s an even better version and I highly recommend it as you will no longer be able to find the 24 or 25 models at this time. ... show more

I’ve been running in the Aesics Nimbus since 2013 and I love them. They are VERY cushioned which is perfect because I’m fat and need all the cushion I can get over a 4 mile walk/run. They may not be perfect for everyone however, they’re quite tall and if you roll your ankles this may be a problem.

Lightweight, very comfortable and like walking on clouds. Inside of heel wears a little quickly and but that may be the way I wear them and walk in them.
