I live in a city, and every time it rains, my shoes get soaked, which is especially problematic going to work and then sitting through the day with wet socks and squashy footwear. I finally invested in these rain boots. I love the design - I got the dark blue glittery one. They do smell like rubber when you unpack them, but the smell gradually fades over a few weeks. Most important, they keep my feet DRY. I walked 2 miles in them today, and my socks didn't get wet at all. They also keep your pant legs below the knee dry, which is really helpful. Best ever. Not only are they gorgeous, they don't cramp my sore toes. There's enough room for toes and socks. The bottoms have excellent treading and I feel safe in the boots, even on the snow.

I use these for gardening, not as rain boots. Wear them with socks. Four stars instead of five because they are stiffer than I would have liked. However, that does make them more durable. Love the color, which just makes me happy. These boots are pretty true to size. I got 8.5, but to put over shoes I would have needed a 10, I think. ... show more

Edit... So these boots do not come in a size 8. I took the chance and ordered the 8.5 since the chart didn't show a huge difference between the 7.5 & 8.5. I received the 8.5 today, and they were huge. Sending back again. I wish they came in size 8, because I really like them I'm giving these boots five stars even though I have to return them. They are super nice and made well. I ordered a 7.5 but I should have ordered an 8 since I would wear a heavier sock in cold weather. ... show more

I needed a waterproof shoe to keep my feet dry and be easily hosed off/cleaned. These fit the bill. 1) they smell fine, I didn't notice any strong chemically smell, though they do smell of plastic for a few days. Nothing extraordinary. 2) They are decently comfortable. The heel and calf of the boot are a bit stiff, so at first I felt as though I were walking on a plank. After a while, however, it was fine+I got used to it. They are not uncomfortable to walk in for me. 3) with these, you need to be wearing pants/long socks or else your calves will be cut up. Even trying them on for size for a few seconds with no barrier is uncomfortable. There is no lining/piping along the top edge so it is pretty sharp. But with leggings, pants, or even a thin dress socks/pantyhose type leg covering I didn't notice any chaffing. 4) The contours on the top of the foot part of the shoe make it rather flattering for bigger feet. I really like the rounded generous toe box which allows for thick socks. I also love that the heel of the shoe is kinda connected to the rest of the sole and not an obnoxious kitten block that sticks out like most women's rain boots. 5) very easy to put on and get off, I can do both without using my hands in a matter of moments. There is a little plastic ledge at the back of the heels which makes it really easy to use the toe of your other foot to ease them off even while standing. 7)The calf spacing is a nice size; they are not tight but don't look ridiculously wide to me. The mid-length of the boot is perfect for me 8) I received lots of compliments on the navy glitter pattern. They are quite fun. 9) Con: Due to the material the sides of the boots do not slide against one another if they touch. Instead, it sticks strongly and halts your steps. I have to be careful to not let the sides of the boots touch while I am walking ... show more

When I saw the design I was extremely optimistic. One whole piece makes so much more sense to avoid leaks at the sole. Unfortunately, they lasted less time than boots with soles. I walked through a puddle today and my foot was soaked. Unfortunately, the material cracked. I don't know how it happened other than being worn a lot and in the cold. It is very disappointing considering it was my Go To footwear. Sadly, they lasted less than 1.5yr. I did get a lot of compliments on the appearance and very comfortable but I don't know it is a good value. ... show more

    • These waterproof boots have been a godsend!

I bought these boots to be able to wear while doing yard work and when doing other kinds of work outside in my yard. I have several small dogs which equals lots of small poops, which I sometimes end up stepping in when trying to clean up after them. There are also a number of feral cats that hang around in our neighborhood and when walking around in the front yard, you never know what you're about to step in! These boots allow me to tromp around wherever I want and not worry about what I might accidentally step in. When I'm done working outside, I just hose them off and leave them to dry off until the next time I need them. My feet stay totally dry, unless I have exceptionally bad aim and accidentally squirt water inside them accidentally. And since they are rubber inside as well, they just dry out without any problems. I first bought a size 8.5 as that is the size shoe I wear. They fit great once I got them on, but were pretty difficult to get on and off. I returned those and got a size 9 and they go on/off way better and are still super comfortable, not loose like I thought the larger size might be. And the pattern is really pretty too.
