This is the best mouse pad on the market. It's the best for tracking and getting comfortable with any sensitivity you have on your mouse. I will say I cleaned under the mat and now it's doesn't stay on the surface of my desk very well. It slides around a little. I don't know if it's because the surface of my desk has a material that allows it to do that or I removed any tactileness the pad had when I cleaned it. Over I'm gonna buy another one ... show more

    • Big upgrade from the hien
I was previously using the hien xl soft, and this immediately is a step up. The hiens obvious flaws being the rougher texture, which I didn't mind and the x and y being different. The hayate otsu solves both those issues, while still retaining the speed, but with a pretty big upgrade in the control department. The speed of this pad is honestly pretty close to hien, the difference is you're able to control the start and stop of the motion so much more, it's night and day. I saw immediate improvements across games, valorant, apex, overwatch. Tracking was better, flicks were more consistent, glide just in general was so smooth and soft, it actually is kind of crazy how much a difference it makes going from a scratchier pad like the hien. It makes you almost forgot about the pad and just focus on aiming. Also it's really soft to the touch, it's nice just letting your arm/hand rest on it. If the durability of this is close to the hien, then that'll make it even better. Ive had the hien for almost 2 years and have only washed it about 6 or 7 times in that span and while the glide has slowed down a bit, it's still fast, the only thing was that the glide was a bit inconsistent from the spots that were used more vs the unused parts. This affected the mouse if you went too high or too low on the pad and there were slight differences in glide. Only con I guess is price, compared to if you get it on the artisan site, but I also just like the convenience of buying it off Amazon, if I have to pay ~$15-20 more than, oh well. It arrived in around 4 days and that was with me ordering it on a weekend. This pad also is just more expensive than the hien, or the others if I'm not mistaken, but it's definitely worth the upgrade. If you're on the hien already, id highly recommend this as the next pad from artisan. Can't say much for the others like the Raiden, or the zero, but this pad can be used for basically all game types without worry compared to something really fast and not as much control like the hien. ... show more

This mouse pad has a nice feel to it. I recommend the x large one because it is still quite small if you’re looking for a bigger mouse pad. It’s comfortable and sturdy!

Mousepad is high quality and easy to adjust to. Great precision and I even spilled water on it and just like it said it didn’t effect the quality of the pad. Also it is very sizeable

By far the best pad I’ve ever used. I started out with the corsair mm pro, then a gsr. those pads wore out in a month due to humidity and became very slow and muddy. Artisan pads are resistant to humidity and I gotta say I love this pad and it instantly improved my gameplay a ton. The only pad I’ll be replacing it with is another one down the road once this one gets worn out. ... show more

The media could not be loaded. Nice glide, but we do have some Cons. -Pros: - The quality is there. I believe the ARTISAN mousepads are popular for fair reason. - The outer stitching is small, and not an issue as sometimes you'll find with others. You won't feel it rubbing your wrist or forearm. - In KovaaKs aim training tracking scenarios I immediately noticed cleaner and smoother tracking. But no miracles, a mousepad won't make your aim 5x better. But it can help if it gives you more freedom for control. -Cons: - Obviously the price for anyone. This is also my first ARTISAN pad and I'll be using it quite a lot, so I'll feel it out over time to see if I myself feel it was a good investment - NOISE. (I made video) Unfortunately, I'm not fond of noise at all. Some people may get used to it, but it also won't be an issue if you're wearing headphones. I don't wear my headset all the time so I hope I get used to it. If you control your mouse with fingertips dragging the pad you will hear it clearly, same with palm. The more skin contact with the pad the more noticeable the noise. - ROUGH FEEL. (check pictures) The pad does glide and is smooth, but you will also hear and feel this smooth non-abrasive sandpaper feeling. It's not completely uncomfortable and it doesn't grip or drag on your skin though, it is very different from other mousepads I've had. I wish I'd known about the texture and noise before buying. It is important to do your research on each of the Artisan mousepad types. The quality is unmatched by anything on the market. If you want a cheaper alternative you could always buy the lethal gaming clones such as the “Saturn.”

    • After 4 months it has worn down a good amount.
The is an updated version of the Hayate Otsu and an old version. The old version only last about 5-7 months while the new version lasts about double that. After 4 months of heavy usage on this it has slowed down quite a bit and had to flip it around to maybe get a little bit more usage out of it. Everything I've read says washing it won't restore the glide on this specific mousepad so there's that. Buying here would be fine if you're okay with a mousepad that will slow down a lot after about 4 months, but I think there are better options available, honestly I think a cheaper $20-$30 pad would have a better glide than what I have at this point. Kind of regretting buying the biggest one when now I just have to buy a new one to get that nice glide back. ... show more
