bought this rug and was impressed with the quality! It’s beautiful, super soft, and really doesn’t slip on the floor, which is great for preventing accidents. Also, it seems very easy to clean. This rug is definitely as soft as people say it is and overall is very pretty! It is very thin though, so if you are putting it over hard flooring I highly recommend getting some kind of rug pad for underneath. I accidentally spilled some water on it and the water droplets just sat on the rug surface. It was super easy to clean it up and it wasn't even wet after. So that has been nice for little spills! My only compaint (and maybe it's just me?) is that NONE of my vacuum settings work with this rug - it just sucks the rug up into the vacuum. I've tried all the vacuum settings (from barefloor, up to super long shaggy carpet) and I tried with and without the rug pad - nothing works. So I have to disconnect the hose and use a handheld attachment to vacuum it, which is a little annoying but not the end of the world. ... show more

We’ve had this rug for several months now and it still looks brand new! I have 2 kids and 3 cats, so looking new is a big deal! It’s super soft and fits our decor perfectly. We haven’t had to wash it yet, but it vacuums easily.

    • OK for decor, not great on comfort

I bought this rug as I was in search of a washable rug, to give my elderly dog traction on the solid surface floors in our new rental. I knew it would be thin to be washable, but it's so thin that I can't use my full size vacuum on it-it gets sucked up like a towel. A hand vac and robot vac does work however. The rug has a somewhat slick surface, which helps liquids bead up, but doesn't help much with the traction I was looking for to help the dog. But it is washable! But, it didn't dry well in my combo washer/dryer. The drum is smaller than the independent dryers, but it's still quite large at about 6 cu ft. Beware if you have an older dryer! We ended up draping it over a frame for several days. Just measured it now, as I'd like a rug pad for comfort, and it seems to have shrunk in the wash. What was supposed to be 9x12 is now 8'4" x 11'7". Close, but not right. One corner now extends farther too, apparently didn't shrink as much as the other side. Would I buy it again? Probably not to go on a smooth surface. If it was going on top of some old or ugly carpet to change a rooms appearance, it would be nice. But on its own, it's too thin to provide much comfort or cushion, too big to wash well, and by the time I buy a rug pad, I could've bought the more expensive brand of this with the corner pockets for just a few $ more. I am extremely satisfied with this rug. Although it arrives with fold lines, following the care instructions causes the creases to dissipate quickly. The rug is exceptionally soft and has proven durable in my small space, even with two dogs. I initially had concerns about its fit and cleaning effectiveness in the washer, but it fits perfectly and emerges looking brand new each time. 8 MONTH UPDATE: I couldn’t take it any longer. The wrinkling and bunching under furniture and not being able to vacuum made me replace this with a thicker rug that stays put. I really wanted to like this but it was more hassle than the pro of being able to machine wash. I’d rather just get out the $70 carpet steam cleaner every few months. INITIAL REVIEW: I have pets and hardwood floors. Replaced a thicker shag rug with this and there are clearly trade offs for being able to machine wash this at home. This is not a “comfy get down on the floor and play” kind of rug, however, the shag was a pain to keep clean. If you’re looking for a machine washable, decent looking, lightweight rug - this is it. Pros: soft, looks good, decent price, really is machine washable in a regular washing machine with agitator, roomba vacuums it well. Cons: thin, slides around, wrinkles, shark vacuum sucks up the rug even on low suction. Long drying time in a dryer. ... show more
