This is a HUGE set that is great for kids to play with. First, my favorite feature is that it has a pop-up easel on the inside. My daughter was able to sit on the couch and have the entire thing open and use all of the stuff in it while using the easel. There are so many different art supplies in here, and I am really impressed that there are oil pastels. This kit is absolutely packed with creative opportunities, and the case has a carrying handle making it pretty portable. The easel can be used by two at once, though I do think it may be a tad flimsy on the non-attached side if you’re pushing on it much. I could see artsy kids spending hours with something like this, however, and it could be a great bonding activity. A couple of important caveats on it: there is no indicator any of it is nontoxic. Also, there are many small pieces like the paperclips, as well as materials like oil pastels, stickers, and glue that could be a disaster in the wrong and or unsupervised hands. I would strongly advise this be reserved for more mature kids, or at least that it only be used as a parent-child activity where it can be monitored. The box says 3+ and that’s pushing it in my book. We’ve recently have cut back on screen time throughout the week with our kids so I decided to purchase this for use throughout the week instead of sitting there in front of a screen. For starters, this thing is big! Fully opened it is 41x17inches! It contains everything art related! Brains, oil pastels, great opaque water colors, water color markers, markers, and colored pencils. My 6 year old loved this art set. It’s great for children and has a ton of art supplies included in the set. Color pencils, markers, oil paint and water colors. The case also double as a clip board so that they can keep everything in place and organized. All the colors are vibrant. The only dislike is that it has a strong paint odor when you open it. I will keep it open for some time to see if the smell will go away. But overall it is a great product and a great gift for any child that loves art. It has everything they will need. ... show more

This art set makes a great gift, but I decided to keep this set instead of gifting it because it's got so many supplies all handy in one place. I'm not trying to do any projects that require high-grade materials so this box of goodies works perfectly for me, as I'm just fooling around with different crafts and need a set like this that is relatively inexpensive and includes lots of supplies. I am amused by the coloring books and plan to use some of the designs for other things because they're so cute. Yep, I'm a big kid at heart so this drawing kit really works for me. Huge set and very pink, but the materials included are amazing. This is a full on set for the little artist in your life. It's a great starter kit, or just a nice art station to have on-hand for trips, or stay overs. Materials work well and get the job done. Very pleased!
