  • Very happy
Number of Items: 36
So with these markers I have to say I was very happy that they were in prime days. I have been eyeing these for a very long time because the markers that I had I got just to start with because I’ve never used alcohol-based markers. I’ve been using those very very cheap markers for the past two years and I’m always annoyed with my pictures. Then out of a whim I look on here and I see skin tones and they just called out to me. Also prime days “buy it” I did for the price I paid totally worth them. it made my beautiful people skin so perfect. So right now since I have no space to put these in my container that I normally store my markers and I’m going to leave them in the box. So here is what the box tells you how to store them they say to store them for best quality use of these pens horizontal which I found kind of interesting. So I will store them horizontal and see what happens. The texture of the pen itself for each and everyone of them is so beautiful to hold in your hand they feel great they’re not round like a rounded triangle so it’s very comfortable to hold them in your hand while you’re drawing or coloring. The markers have two sides a thin and a thick side like every other marker that’s or alcohol base. The tips of the markers are very sturdy I can see them lasting for a few years with me. I like how they don’t bleed through too much but they will bleed through. The color comes out evenly and the next thing which will be updated later will be that I will see how long the color stays on paper. Now I am going to tell you about the box it is a box they are not plastic pieces that separate the markers they are paper which was a little bit sad because I’ve had other ones that have plastic separators so that you don’t randomly break them down quickly. Inside the box it comes with A piece of paper that has all 36 colors technically 34. The box has a slight magnetic pole on the front I know that it’s because my kids took one of their silly magnets and it’s stuck. I am excited to see how long this box can hold up I’m also excited to see how long the markers will as well. Good luck with your shopping hope you find this helpful. One more thing if these markers are too expensive for you Bianyo Is a brand you should look into for I’d just tried those as well and they are a good alternative in the price ranges are a little cheaper which in the long run if you’re looking to save some money try them out. ... show more

  • IN LOVE! My first alcohol markers, couldn't have made a better choice.

I did a lot of research before getting this set. I was indecisive between other brands around the same price and this one. Ultimately, I chose these even if they didn't have brush nibs. I'm delighted! They blend amazingly in cardstock, and you can't see it looking streaky even without brush nibs. My only complaint is that this set only has three purples, two of which are almost identical, and the third one is so different it doesn't blend well. However, I chose this set to start with instead of the 90 set because it has a bigger selection of greens. I'm new to this medium but I loved it so so so much I will be buying the other sets staring with the skin tone set as soon as I get the chance! Also, it comes with a colorless blender, what a god sent. I have used it to lift ink where I used so much it ended up going over my lines (pictured). Even so I found that if I had a lot of leakage over the lines, if I used a lot of the blender the ink would just flow back out of the lines and I'd have to use it again. For bigger leaks in darker colors I have just used corrector instead to cover it up, in order to save the blender for smaller cases. Also! Swatch your colors in the paper you intend to use, since I found mine looked lighter in the paper they provided. Edit: I forgot to say the come with a plastic holder at the bottom of the box, it’s sturdy! ... show more

  • Surprisingly good for beginners and beyond
Number of Items: 80
I bought these so my eleven year old could start learning to use more sophisticated art materials than the ones aimed at children. After talking to him about proper usage and safety, and demonstrating some of the things he could do with them, he has really taken off. He draws the characters from anime he enjoys and is really doing great! (Heads up - remember to teach children to use backing sheets so markers don't bleed through several pages or onto YOUR DINNER TABLE). I tried them out myself, just to see how they performed, and I like them quite a bit as well. They're very juicy, and achieving smooth, streak free color isn't difficult. They don't bleed or smear more than any other alcohol marker I've used, and the color selection is good, with a good range of tones and hues. For someone who isn't concerned with owning a well known brand or who wants a lot of color at low cost, this set is pretty ideal. I want to give special mention to the packaging it comes in simply because it's so uncommon for art materials to come in a box that's sturdy, useful, AND so appealing to look at. Additionally it keeps the markers horizontal in storage which is good for the pens. Excellent. Might buy again when it's time to replenish my own markers. ... show more
