    • Very high quality - Easy to install, as long as you have room
I have 2 of these installed in my home. The product is VERY well made, and looks like a very professional install when you finish installing it. It looks better than similar products you get at a big box store. The ONLY reasons I marked it down are: 1. Its somewhat expensive. I think its worth the price, but you can find similar products for less money. 2 . The lower power box is pre wired, as others have mentioned. This makes for an install that is less complicated for novice DIYers, but also means that unless you take the lower power box apart, you have to fish it through the wall. By "lower power box", I mean the 1 Gang box that the power cable comes OUT of, that you plug into the wall. The entire lower box is a 2 gang box, however the pre wired box is 1 gang and needs to be fished through the wall. If you have insulation, this will very (very) difficult, with the box still attached). If you are somewhat handy (even a little), you can undo the pre wiring on the lower power box, and just run the cable through the wall (which is standard romex type cable), then re attach it to the box after you fish it through the wall. This is not difficult, but some other products like this are made with the lower box NOT pre wired so you just fish the cable, then attach it. This is not a deal breaker by any means, and the quality of the product is worth this potential small issue (which is only an issue if the box will not fit in your wall and you have to take it apart to run the cable as I mention).     • VERY Easy install ! Item is Better than I expected !
I was hesitant to spend over $40 on this item. It sat in my Amazon shopping cart and I hemmed and hawed for about a week before pulling the trigger to buy it... However, I am very glad I did. I didn't need to purchase 14-2 Electrical wire for such a short run in the wall. Who has 3 feel of that Just laying around? The Instructions were clear and easy to follow. I'm handy, so only a quick glance at the photos was all that was needed... OK a little reading. BEWARE: if you attempt to mount your TV on an EXTERIOR wall... The "Fire Stops" / "Stud Bracing" (horizontal 2x4s between studs) will make it impossible to use this without running into major issues. I didn't have this issue because I mounted on an interior wall. But I realized this could be a problem for some. This item doesn't require ANY knowledge of electrical wiring at all-- you don't have to turn off breakers or anything like that ... In reality, this is a very clever "Glorified extension cord." Not to take anything away from the product, but in the end, that's what I realized this to be. The best thing about this item is that all the FINISHING Hardware (Cover plates) are included. If you cut the Square holes to the correct size stated in the instruction, it makes for a perfect / professional looking finished job. The plastic boxes are very sturdy, and the 3-prong plug wire seems to be heavy duty. The second opening-- the ones used for the HDMI / Ethernet / RF Cable wire-- gives you plenty of room to run those cables. The entire finished job looks very neat. I can highly recommend this item to the do-it-your-self homeowner who has skills. When you want to hide the snake pit of wires that we all end up with when we have home theater systems, this is what you need to get. ... show more

    • Perfect solution for unsightly wires and plugs!!
I was going to originally purchase the kit you have to put together yourself, which was a little cheaper, but I decided to go with this model instead to avoid the hassle connecting the dots. Turned out to be a great decision! Made the installation much easier, as I didn't have to think about it much at all. Cut the holes in the wall using the template, bottom hole next to the outlet and the top hole above the bottom hole near where I mapped out the layout of my TV. My one "almost" mistake was putting it too close to the stud, as I had just enough room to clear it. I dropped the bottom unit down the wall and pulled it through. Both units fit the template cuts perfectly. The screw toggles on the unit worked like a charm, drew the unit snuggly to the wall with no issues. I tightened the connecting plug on the bottom unit so it would fit snug to the unit and pulled the wires through from the top. I plugged the unit into my monster surge protector and wala...instant power for my new TV and sound bar without any cords or plugs showing! Long story short, it was easy to install and it worked perfectly! The total time spent was probably a little longer than needed because it was my first time ever hanging a TV so I measured every detail and measured again.     • Good product but a few things to consider
Overall I really like this product. The only thing that was problematic was trying to finish the lower powerbox through the wall and insulation. I ended up having to disconnect the lower unit altogether, fish the wire through and then reconnect the wiring once it was out of the wall on the bottom. Rewiring was simple if you know what you're doing, but there was no way the box was going to make it down the wall with insulation.     • HORRIBLE CUSTOMER SERVICE

Do not buy this product from this seller. The product DOES NOT fit a 2x3 stud. From front to back this product is 4 inches deep. You must have a standard size stud (2x4) or larger. If you buy this product and see it doesn't fit, and send it back within 24 hours, they will gladly take the brand new item back, but only return a fraction of your money. Terrible customer service. The item was only out of the box for less than 1 hour. Long enough to measure it and see it wouldn't work. Requested refund and was approved. Sent the items back and they didn't refund all the money.
