  • It's really comfy!!
First Impressions of Arlierss Camping Sleeping Pad, Ultralight Camping Mat with Pillow Built-in Foot Pump Inflatable Sleeping Pads for Camping Hiking 4.5 stars rounded up to 5 stars - full price is higher than similar competitive products, VERY comfy, built-in foot pump WORKS well, pillow is great for back sleepers, lightweight, compact, and deflates and puts away very fast. Read on for details. The first thing I noticed was how lightweight the kit was. The mattress itself rolls up very small. The mat includes a patch kit for punctures. The fact that the mattress seems so thin and that a patch kit is included does make me worry about how rough the ground can be before this mattress experiences a puncture. Once unrolled, there is an air box or pump on one end. Opening the air box or foot pump valve allows the pump to intake air. I was able to inflate the mattress in under 90 seconds. In the past, I’ve never had strongly positive experiences with air mattresses or pads - therefore this product had an uphill battle during my testing. Once fully inflated, I was WOWED. This mattress isn’t your daddy’s old air mattress. This mattress is thick compared to a foam mattress pad. The surface is ribbed for your sleeping pleasure. When getting on top of the mattress, I did not bottom out or feel the ground. I felt super comfy with all my natural pressure points well supported. The pillow was a very good height - I did not feel as though I needed another pillow. At home, I sleep with 2, and sometimes 3 pillows. However, if I’m sleeping on my side, I may need additional support since I’m over 6 feet tall with broad shoulders and 250 pounds. Putting away the mattress was nearly as quick as inflating the mattress. The air is easily squeezed out during the rolling process. Open the 2-way release valve (there are two stages - intake only or fully open), roll the mattress, then fold the mattress in half and roll the mattress flat again, then after when all the air is emptied, roll the mattress in thirds to fit very compactly into the included bag. I used a portable air pump and inflated the sleeping pad in 45 seconds. As a Vine Voice reviewer, I’ve tested about a dozen different sleeping pads, and this ranks high in comfort and support. ... show more

  • Held up good to the kids playing
I bought another very similar mat to this recently and this one is similar but a little bit better quality. The foot pump thing works but is slow and annoying to use. If you use one of those tiny rechargeable pumps it seems to fill up very slowly due to some oddity with that foot pump mechanism, the only really quick/normal way to pump fill it is to open the foot area drain port and fill through that, then use the foot pump just to fill the head section. I don't know who thought of this integral head pillow foot pump thing but they should stop and just use a normal valve like every other air mat. Rechargeable inflators are a few ounces and $20 now, so I don't know who is foot pumping these to fill them. Useable top area when inflated is right around 76x25" and it is 4" thick in the main area and another inch higher in the pillow. We let our kids play on it roughly for a day (no jumping on it but just about everything else) and it held up without leaking. It was difficult to get 100% full (95% being about the functional max, so fine for normal use) due to the valve issues. It has no internal padding and when rolled up it is roughly 5" diameter by 12" long. The bag is appropriately oversized so that you could roll it up like a real moron and it would probably still fit in. The whole things weighs 2.58lbs of which the bag is only .06lbs. Credit to them for not making the bag just barely fit like a lot of other brands. What is easy to roll in the living room is not as easy when you are packing up camp. ... show more

  • Built in foot-pump is a life saver!
I often find myself needing a quick air mattress to lay out when I visit others. It's not for lack of their guest rooms, it's just that I have spinal issues and most people's mattress just are not that comfortable for me and air mattresses have always provided support for me. This one is no different. The level of support is very good for such a thin mattress and the material seems thick and durable. The built in foot pump is fantastic. Being able to just just pump it up manually and quickly without an air pump is a life saver as I sometimes don't have the best lungs for blowing up large items like this. It comes with a patch kit which is nice because a lot of air mattress overlook this or choose to charge extra for it so it's a nice little addition. Overall, it's easy to setup, packup, and move from place to place and seems high quality from top to bottom. I would highly recommend this item for anyone need a great portable mattress. ... show more

  • Fast to inflate and deflate, easy to over-inflate and make bouncy
Overall, this mattress is very good but just short of excellent. The inflation pump works well, and if one is quite eager could easily over-inflate with just one or two foot-presses too many. When over-inflated it is bouncy, wobbly and not comfortable. Likewise, deflation and adjustment is easy and fast. Once deflated it quickly rolls up tightly to re-pack with ease. At 6'3", 200lbs with 28pieces of metal and 5 cadaver bones rebuilding my back and neck, it is hard for any mattress to give me proper support and comfort. This mattress did well with one tiny note: The air valve is located directly in the center of the footrest area... if one were to lay with feet crossed at the ankles, you will distinctly feel the valve. This is not a deal breaker, a slight movement of your feet and it's comfortable. There was very minimal air loss overnight while sleeping with both pressure as well as temperature changes. The fabric thickness of the mattress feels as thick or thicker than any I have used in the past, the pattern of air pockets provide good and comfortable weight distribution. If there were one thing I could change it would simply be to make it just two or three inches longer, yet I recognize that I am taller than average and if this is the greatest of my concerns the mattress has passed the test for quality and comfort. One factor I cannot rate yet is the longevity of the mattress. If it proves to not hold-up to normal usage in what feels less than normal or sufficient time to justify the price, I will update the review. ... show more
