I've had a Compact 24 for 3 years. First winter it was fine. Used it a few times. Next winter it would not start. Couldn't believe it. Really disappointing. Only a few uses, new gas, etc. Last summer I had local guy work on it. He returned it and it started and I was glad to have paid him. Then upon first snow, it would not start. !@##$%#@$%%. Another guy came over and tried many different things, then he finally suggested covering it in blanket and using space heater to warm it up. Yup. It starts fine when it is warm. What the @##$%? So now I need to warm it up to use it. A snow blower. JFC. ... show more

    • Compact 24 - Just Excellent!
Picked up the Ariens Compact 24 a few years ago - ample time to determine its value to write a review. First this guy throws all the snow several western Wisconsin winters could bring!! I'm including the huge plow furrow at the end of my drive when the snowplow goes through. I had to get used to no-throttle lever at first but found out most gas-powered engines on snow blowers are going away from them - doesn't matter to me - when properly primed, and one or two pulls, she's up and running. Easy controls, easy to move around and drive, fits in my two-stall garage butted up to the wall nicely. I added LED lights from a couple tutorials on Youtube - I couldn't be happier with my Compact 24 - Ariens is "The King of Snow" - I can verify it! ... show more

    • I was not able to start the snow blower and there is 6 inches of snow in my driveway.
The snow blower did not start and I want it replaced by an other snow blower that works. Thsi must be done asap and the price of the new snow bolower must be the same as the one I bought. Dr. Gareth Williams.
