It is thin and maybe at some point I will put a mat under it for cushion, but maybe not; it is fine as it is and great for the grandkids to set up blocks and other toys. I recently purchased this rug and overall, I’m pretty happy with it! The pattern is exactly as pictured and adds a nice pop of style to my living room. The material feels soft underfoot, and I’ve noticed that spills clean up easily, which is a huge plus for me, especially with kids and pets in the house. However, there is one issue: the rug tends to bunch up quite easily when placed on carpet. I’m not sure if this would be an issue on a hard floor, but on carpet, it tends to shift and create folds that need to be smoothed out regularly. It’s a bit of a hassle, but not a dealbreaker. That said, for the price, I think it’s a solid purchase. If you're using it on a hard floor, I think it would be perfect, but on carpet, you might want to keep an eye on how it behaves. I’m still giving it 4 stars because the overall quality, pattern, and ease of cleaning really make it worth it. The rug looks fantastic in our living room, I ordered a large rug to cover the most area with the space couches take up and it was perfect! Very functional, it does not slide or curl, it came folded and it only took a few hours for it to lay completely flat with no creases. Comfortable to walk on, it's not too soft, it's rather thin which I like And easy to clean! All I have To do is vacuum and shampoo and most of the stains lift with no issues. I do Have 3 little kids so easy cleaning is something I look For in products like these, recommend this to anyone else looking for a simple rug ... show more
