Buy this! I waited quite a while after I purchased it to leave my review, because I wanted to give a complete review. It did take me a bit to figure out the right combination, but I use one heaping scoop of powder and four drops of the clear liquid. I also let it sit For about 20 seconds before I start using it. I glob it on with an eyeshadow brush and use a Q-tip to clean it up. Once you get the hang of it, it is hands-down the best tint. Doesn't cause any hair loss, covers well, and lasts 2 to 3 weeks. And I have extremely stubborn grays, even in my eyebrows! ... show more

I bought this product in Target before and LOVED it. I was getting to close to needing a new one, so for convenience I ordered a new one off Amazon. I purchased the same color as I did before, dark brown. Something is very very wrong. At first glance I noticed the color of the powder seemed different than my store bought one, but thought maybe mine was just older? Mixed according to the directions ratio and no matter what I kept getting a ball of gel with the powder not dissolving. The color looked like honey, definitely not the dark brown I was used to. Against better judgement, I still tried to put the gel like substance on my eye brow and it would not stay. I then dug out my old one and compared the color of the powder, and despite the new bottle saying “dark brown,” it definitely WAS NOT. Since I was out of my original developer, I then tried to use my original powder with the new developer, this mixed normal, unlike the new powder. Placed it on my brows and let it sit for the required 10 minutes, even though usually I take it off sooner. It did NOTHING. Something is super off about this product, the color is obviously wrong and the developer doesn’t even work. Also I noticed my old powder has a topper on the bottle with little holes for dispensing, however the new one did not? I’m very confused. I want to return it but I am afraid Amazon will just resell it to someone else and I don’t want someone to go through the same thing! The developer is clear which, for some reason, threw me. But I gamely gave it a shot. My first attempt to mix ended up pretty sandy and thick (pic with red background). It was nearly impossible to use and I ended up just getting clear liquid on my brows (the sandy mix just stayed on the spoolie or fell off onto the counter) and I decided to try mixing a new batch. Surprisingly, while I was mixing the new batch I looked in the mirror and realized that the first attempt had left color! So my second batch I used a bit more developer and got a thinner, but still somewhat grainy texture (pic with part of the instructions under bowl). I’m used to coloring my hair and used to the colorant being a cream form and the resultant mixture is smoother. But at least this version was easier to spread. 10 minutes later, and it definitely left color. We’ll see how long it lasts! I will say the little spoolie was not optimal for application for me. I think I’ll use a stiff slanted brush next time for more precise control over where I’m applying the dye. Also, the instructions felt a little ambiguous to me. Pea-sized is harder to estimate when the developer is as liquidy as it was. And the 4:1 developer to colorant doesn’t really match the pea-sized developer to 2-3 scoops of color powder. That kind of ends up backwards (1:4). My second batch was closer to the 4:1 ratio but I used more developer (like a nickel-size) and that was a better consistency to work with. So I recommend that you go with the 4:1 direction rather than the pea-size to 2-3 scoops direction. Overall, I’m pleased with the results. Probably got a bad batch. Followed instructions but mix never turns up creamy. It turns up grainy and when I apply it, it falls off my brows. It does end up leaving some color after applyin it twice on my eyebrows so that's why I'm keeping it and giving it 3 stars. It's also not soft black and doesn't last 2 wks even if I avoid my brows when I'm washing my face. Might order again and hope next order is better ... show more

My eyebrows are blonde and I've been paying $30 every 2 weeks to dye and wax them. I found this and gave it a try with no issues. I'm not 100% sure I'm mixing to the right consistency but it works!! I've used 2 applications and the bottles are still full

As many other reviewers mentioned, the mixture proportions are hard to get right. The proportions mentioned in the instructions were terrible. Without enough developer, things come out chunky and grainy - impossible to apply smoothly. Too much and there is no color at all. I managed to get an ok consistency but not great. After 10 minutes I had achieved some darkening, but not what I had hoped for. The spoolie is useless for application. Next time I'll use a brush and mix it up adding a little bit of developer a drop at a time. If things improve I'll update this review. At least this was inexpensive. I'll finish the box but if I can't get an improved result I won't buy it again. ... show more

I have been paying to get my brows colored and finally got the nerve to try it myself. I am so happy with the results! I’ve done it now a couple of times and am really happy with the results. I put a thin layer of Vaseline around my brow to protect my skin from the color and then apply, let it sit for ten minutes and then wipe off excess with spoolie and then a wet cotton pad.
