This is a small tin can - probably about the size of a can of tobacco chew - and inside it is a pair of white underwear that look something like unisex hospital undies, compressed into a tiny white hockey puck. They were a really funny gift to give for our annual white elephant gift exchange on Christmas eve. I don't know how they actually hold up as a real wearable item, or why you'd want to use them once dipped in the water and wet, but any recipient would at least be laughing about it long before realizing that they are mostly useless. Actually, I'm not even sure why you have to "just add water," because the water didn't really seem to do much. I originally thought they would expand out of their round shape like one of those sponge toys that grow in water, but in reality it was just the same white hockey puck that was doused in water. After finally getting them to open all the way up (it took a good ten minutes), they turned out to be large grandma undies made of a really thin material, that were proudly held aloft for all at the party to view (we were curious!). ... show more

This really came in clutch the other day when I absolutely destroyed my trousers in the frozen food section of Walmart. I was in a state of absolute panic when I remembered that I had my emergency wet and wear underpants. These babies were a lifesaver in the Walmart lavatories.
