Aquabeads is the Original Water-Activated Bead Craft Kit! Since 2004, children throughout the world have created millions of Aquabeads designs. Aquabeads Day on the Farm is a complete theme set from Aquabeads! This jumbo craft bucket includes over 3,500 solid, jewel and star beads in a variety of unique colors, along with templates, tray, sprayer, creation bases and bead stand. Use the templates to create your farm theme designs, and after they dry use the design pegs to attach the designs to the creation base. Creation bases can be used on a flat surface to create a 3D base for Aquabeads, or they can stand like a frame for 2D display and play! Display and play on the farm and create unique, interchangeable scenes! Unique bead stand fits the designs and allows for upright play. Aquabeads is suitable for girls and boys ages 4 and above. Not suitable for children under age 3 due to small parts.

    • Nice refill set of beads!
This is a basic refill set - there is a main container and no bead pen. However there is 1 clear tray, a spray bottle and plenty of beads to keep your kids busy for hours! There is also a stand and some accessories to attach to the things you made to help them snap into this background. These are so much fun and my five and six year old really enjoy creating things with the aquabeads! So this Disney Princess Creation Cube is pretty fun and there are three cards - designs on both sides. They also include a bonus pattern on the paper around the cube - but honest I am so sick of these bonus prints where it just isn't easy to use - they should just include them on the correct paper size. I love that there are over 3,500 beads in 30 different colors - so many choices! There are also solid, jewel and star shaped beads which are quiet nice. There is no bead pen in this set. You will simply lay your paper down and then place the clear tray on top of it. I typically use washi tape to keep it in place as my children are smaller and this just makes it a bit easier! Once done fill the small spray bottle which is included with water and spray your creation, Wait 60 minutes and flip your creation and then spray again and wait an additional 60 minutes. From there it is done! This set did not include a peeler but a butter knife or fork will work just fine. As far as price goes - This is just as pricey as the sets that include a storage container except here they are giving you the storage cube - which does work well for some of the large accessories such as the layout tray and templates. I am using AB Designs 9101ABD Super Satchel Slim with Removable Dividers to store all of my beads - I have three going - one for each type of bead and so far it has worked out well. I did at a bit of hot glue to the edge of each divider so that my kids don't accidently lift them up - I know it can be done as I did it by accident. ... show more

    • price is steep but worth it
This was our first real time trying the aquabeads. I have kids ages 5 through 14 and we love the little rings you iron to stick together and I expected something like that. These are not as secure when sealed . . . you place them in a tray and spray them and they dry together . . . they are not as secure as the ones that they heat but they are still fun. This has a wide variety of colors and shapes of beads so you are really only limited by your imagination. Of course there is a farm theme but there is nothing restricting you to those patterns. This is rated ages 4 and up but there is no way I would leave a 4 year old with this unsupervised. REALLY like that it comes with a sturdy storage container. Yes, it seems pretty pricey but it was worth it . . . we have already put a lot of time into this set and still haven't even come close to getting tired of it. ... show more

    • Aqua Beads are great, and this is a nice set. Still seems pricy, though...
Aquabeads are a really great art/craft activity, and my 8 year old really enjoys using them. If you're not familiar, they are akin to Perler Beads, but in my opinion, better. The child lays out the Aquabeads on a special little "flip mat," following a pattern (or creating their own design), then sprays the beads with water. This activates some kind of glue on the beads, and 30 minutes later, they are all nicely stuck together! No ironing required. This set, in particular, is very nice. You get everything you need to get started: a generous amount of Aquabeads, a "flip mat," a spray bottle, a sturdy carrying case, and plenty of nice patterns. No complaints at all. This would make a very nice gift for a younger kid (in fact, that's how we used it.) The only thing I'll mentions is... Aquabeads are expensive! I feel like $40 is too much for what you get. I'm sure the beads are expensive to manufacture, but the kid doesn't care about/consider that. I wish it was $30, or even $25. Oh well. All in all, though, if you don't mind spending this much for a gift, this is a pretty cool thing to get a kid, so I still highly recommend it! ... show more

This is large set and it's nice it has a container to store everything because there's a ton of small pieces. I think it would be nice if they came in little containers. I end up getting out a tray and laying all the pieces and colors out so you can design what you want and then when done, put in many ziplock bags based on shapes and colors. It is fun and really is for older kids who have patience figuring it out. I feel like you can just open and go, you really do have to read the instructions. However, once they get started, they won't want to stop! ... show more

Both my 4 year old and my 10 year old really like these. My 4 year old doesn't totally understand the concept that they have to be touching to stay together, but we will get there. My 10 year old was so excited to make cute little gifts for her friend. Really fun!

We love Aquabeads and have several sets. They are super fun and really allow for great creativity. This set is awesome because it comes with everything you need to make all kinds of animals. It has a lot of specialty beads, which are bumpy or clear or have a unique look we haven't seen in beads from other sets. The easy to follow patterns are great for kids about 6 and up. The box is awesome for storage as well. Overall, this is an awesome starter set or great addition to your other sets as it has some really cool beads we haven't used before. ... show more
