    • Refill set - recommend you buy a beginner set too if you don’t already have one
If you already have children with an Aquabeads beginner set and want some additional beads and templates, this is an inexpensive set that will keep them busy for a few hours. This is a kind of generic animals-themed add on set where you get 15 colors of beads, 3 templates and 3 stands to hold up your creations. All in all you get 610 beads: mostly rounds (340) but 40 “jewel” ones to be used for noses or eyes or whatever, and 230 star beads. We prefer the round beads in our household the best because they stick to each other the most easily and the star ones seem to leave a sticky residue, don’t dry as quickly, and seem more fragile at their joints. My son is really into animals so this set is great as an add-on. We love it for playdates at our house and so do the other kids. Each animal is good for at least 15 minutes of assembly (he’s five years old) and so it’s a great thing to get out when we have a playdate - the kids are quiet and concentrate on this craft and then they have something fun to take home. This set does not come with any storage trays (all of the beads come in little plastic bags that once ripped open cannot be closed again so I’d advise you have some sort of beginner set with storage trays. You will also need the beginner set because it’s most efficient to build on the plastic tray of the beginner set, sliding the template underneath that plastic tray. You also don’t get the little spray bottle with this add-on set but squirting the beads with any squirt bottle will do, so that isn’t important. Overall, this set isn’t an amazing licensed character set that will really get kids excited, but it is a good value and adds some variety to what can be made with the initial set. It is giftable as long as you know that the recipient already has other Aquabeads. ... show more

This refill pack with animal templates is great. There’s a lot of different bead options that didn’t come in the other pack. These are great because there are a lot more options and it comes with animal templates as well. Perfect rainy day craft for older kids.

    • Great Add On For Any Aquabead Set
This is a refill set that really cannot stand on its own as there is no tray. It is better to pair with an actual Aquabead set. There are plenty of refill beads and new templates which will keep your little ones busy for a few hours. As many other users commented, the star beads are horrible. They don't dry well, stick well, and are a bit flimsy. Unfortunately, 230 of the 610 beads are stars. The round is our favorite and adhere the best.     • Really hate the star beads
My kids love creating with aquabeads so have tried many different sets. Our favorite is the beginner studio because it comes with a nice variety of beads, a storage container and tray, and a bead pen to help place beads (and had been around $16 the few times I purchased it). This is only a refill - no tray or storage container included, so you need to have those before purchasing this. As far as refills go, it’s ok, but we have so many issues with the star beads every single time we use them, and we have mastered the art of spraying and flipping pretty well. The star beads often don’t sit exactly right and if they don’t make good contact when they’re sprayed, they will fall off. And it’s hard, if not impossible, to fix after they’ve been sprayed and flipped. So we prefer the Mega Bead set for the value, included case, and lack of star beads. ... show more

Got this Aquabead set to add to my daughter's other sets and she loves it. The animals are so adorable and there is a variety of ones to choose from. It came with a good amount of beads and we loved the starbeads, they are so pretty. My daughter and I have made lots of these and we always have so much fun together. Make sure you have a tray already because this is just a refill of beads and templates. These bead buddies are so easy to craft with my girl. She now has a collection of them and now she gets to add these cuties to it. Very satisfied!!! ... show more

Attention: this is just a refill pack. You would need to buy the original for the plate and molds and a few other accessories. My daughter loves the animals mostly recently she's been obsessed with dogs and cats. So this is perfect.
