I was worried about what type of quality this coat would be, or if the sizing would even be correct! Do to looking and reading about similar coats that was said to be made of the same material and similar style, but judging from pictures that people had posted of the other coats and the problems that they encountered. I must say I was very happy that I made my purchase with this seller that carried this particular product I am very pleased with this coat it is extremely warm and comfortable it’s also very stylish. The only down side to this item was the right pocket has a hole in it like your hand goes threw it I feel the manufacturer of this coat should put some type of reinforcement around the stitching of the seams in the pockets so they will be more durable. This coat has not been worn yet for any length of time as we just got it so I can’t say to much more about it until we really put it to the test meaning wearing out in the weather for a length of time. I bought this coat in a small for my grandson who is slender built and weighs about 118 pounds and is around 5 ft 6 and the coat has just the right amount of moving room without stressing the coat even over a flannel shirt with a t-shirt under and also trying it with a turtleneck sweater it fits perfect. In my opinion this coat is well worth the purchase and it was very neatly folded and packaged and I received it in a very timely manner. Ps. Please research the sizing before purchasing it took me awhile trying to look up the difference I noticed the sizing can very from seller to seller. I just want to say thank you to the seller for sending the exact item that they advertised and showed in their pictures it matters a lot to know you can trust a product and it’s advertising thank you. ... show more

I own a few wool coats, and this is definitely not the best of them, but for the price it is definitely a great buy. The material is very soft with a glossy matte sheen to it that is common for the leas expensive wool coats so be aware. The weight and padding are acceptable, and outside of some padding flex when i stretched it out (it kinda sounds like tearing fabric and is caused by being folded and shipped but it shouldn't hurt the coat) it feels very much like a 2-300 dollar coat instead of a benji coat. As for the size, I usually wear a large in this style coat, but in everything else i am in between l and xl for my chest and arms to fit correctly, and depending on your use case this will either fit as expected or on the small side. For me i ordered both and after trying both of them on i stuck with the xl as a wide shouldered 5’11” man weighing 230 (for most people my build would reflect those weighing 200-210 because my legs are huge) because it fit better with other layers underneath. If i intended to wear leas layers i would have gone with the L instead since it was both more slimming and better fit my body. ... show more

I'm only 5'6 so xs is probably ideal for me. However I like to layer up. Wearing a suit under works well with S . It's maybe 1 or 2 inches too loose without under layers. Looks really great even at my height. I'm wearing it today without a suit under and it's still mostly fitting If you have cats, maybe don't get a black one. Very comfy, looks amazing I wish there were more pockets . Just 2 in front that face down. No side slanted pockets, no upper chest outside pocket If it had more pockets I'd say 6 stars but it's a solid 5 ... show more

    • Good, not perfect, for cold weather

If you are buying this coat to look good around town in "mildly cold" weather (basic snow) I expect you will be happy. It's comfortable, warm, looks nice, and is not too heavy or too bulky. BUT it has two imperfections that you may want to take into account if you're going somewhere really cold, meaning you may want to find something similar but without these flaws. (a) There is no button+button hole in the collar lapels. Meaning you can't pop the collar up to give your neck some extra protection. I fixed this by using safety pins to pin velcro on each of the lapels, which works, but which shouldn't be my job! (b) The pockets are very much "decoration" pockets, not functional pockets. They are good enough to hold your hands and keep them warm, but they are not angled and are not deep (so you can't easily hold your hands in them at a comfortable angle for a long time). Basically this is a warm coat that prioritized fashion over functionality. It's adequate to my needs, but I'd prefer something that prioritized functionality over fashion. If you have my tastes, don't make my mistake, buy a brand that gets the collar and pockets correct. (I got a large Full Length Camel. I, 180lb, 35" waist, 5'9" am quite happy with the fit.) ... show more

My husband requested a dress coat and I took the chance and ordered this! He looks great in the coat and I was surprised he really liked this style! Never have I seen him wear anything but jackets and I have to admit I wish I had gotten this length sooner! It’s a warm coat but not to heavy! I did have to take it to the cleaners to be pressed! It was a result of shipping . I am so glad I purchased this ! It looks great with jeans as well as with a suit! Great buy! ... show more
