Literally the only single thing on the entire phone was a SLIGHT scratch that you have to turn and angle correctly to see. Clearly the phone screen has been replaced but it is a real iPhone part. iPhone battery at 100%, speaker bangs, touch screen keeps up with my fast typing with no errors, it works way better than my 5 year old X. I usually do not write reviews, but felt I had to. I was replacing an Iphone 6S plus, which worked flawlessly until last year with battery issues. No wonder being over 10 years old. I Purchased an IPhone 12 ProMax on Amazons Unlocked renewed Premium program. I expected the phone to be ok, but not Great ! It looks brand new, No scratches dents or dings. I thought I would have issues once i connected to T-mobile with certain features, NOT ! all works flawlessly. And the battery, Brand new and charges to 100%. So all great here. If I ever need to replace a phone again, I will be using their Renewed premium Program. And no, I have not been compensated for this review, just an average consumer that felt the need to let others know, at least in my case. Blessings..... ... show more

    • A Premium iPhone with great features
I ordered mine in January of this year so I've used it for a half year thus far and am pleased with this model iPhone. A couple issues straight away were: battery was listed as 90% health or better but that wasn't the case. My iPhone arrived with 87% battery health. There was also a few little scratches on the front glass but once I had the glass screen protector installed you couldn't see them. so no problem. Everything else on this iPhone worked perfectly. Since I ordered the premium version (for a higher price of course) the battery health was an issue. I didn't want to return the iPhone for a replacement after setting it up et al, I was able to receive a small partial refund for the battery health not being as stated. It has remained at 87% for these past 6 months and lasts a long time. It's an excellent phone. The camera lenses are great; I am glad to have the 3 lenses and use all of them regularly. And the large HD space, 512GB is fantastic - the largest I've ever had in an iPhone and am not concerned if I am shooting some 4k video as I won't run out of space. I also like that it still takes a physical SIM card. (not just the e-sim) I have Verizon and everything just works. (You provide the SIM card) This is the first time I purchased a 'refurb' Apple iPhone through amazon. I was a bit concerned before buying but once mine arrived and we got the wrinkles out I am very pleased and happy with my purchase. I was just tonight looking at the apple website and they have refurb items and they had this exact iPhone - but for more than I paid. Their's came with a new battery, that would be nice, but my phone just works perfectly, does everything it should and battery lasts long. When I need a battery, I can get Apple certified replacement of that so this phone is going to last me a long time. Oh, it's got 5G too. Though around here it's still LTE or 4G. My iPhone 12 Pro Max of 3 years met an unfortunate end the other day when it flew out of its holder while running into the road at an intersection, then got run over. Of all things, the *back glass* was shattered. As it turns out this is the worst glass to break. There was nothing wrong with this phone after 3 years, and I couldn't stomach $1700 for a top of the line iPhone 15. So here I am. I opted for the "Renewed Premium" version. I was already facing $499 in repairs from Apple, and all they were going to do was chisel the old glass off my phone, do some surgery, and affix a new back. I just didn't feel like that was a great value. The phone I received was basically flawless. No scratches anywhere. 100% battery. All for $650, and I was able to trade my busted iPhone in for $125 (at least it's something). You cannot buy Apple+ care as you can if you buy a refurbished phone from Apple, but to get this from Apple will run you $850, not including the Apple+ plan. At that level you're creeping closer to asking yourself why you aren't just upgrading. What you do get with the Renewed Premium version is 1 year to return the product, vs. 90 days for regular Renewed. They caution against abuse and I don't see myself using it, but it gives me peace of mind. ... show more

Update (12/17/23): Additional observations: 1) the Amazon Renewed certification card is marked 10/27/23, and when I received it 12/2/23 (about 5 weeks), the battery was completely dead; 2) after charging back to 100%, I put it in airplane mode (to turn off both WiFi and bluetooth), and also put it in battery saver mode; I checked the battery percentages once a day, and it was losing 10-15% per day, so this battery is very weak. I did a parallel test with another iPhone (11 pro max), and that one only lost 10% (100% > 90%) over a week. This is an excellent test to check the true condition of the battery. Summary: This is the 5th Amazon Premium Renewed phone, and the battery life, which should be above 90%, is actually 88%. Discussion: Earlier this year (2023), I upgraded from an iPhone 7 plus, and decided I would go with the 11 Pro Max version. I was on the fence whether the extra money for the Amazon Premium Renewed is worth it, so will be discussing what I considered. Observations: The high level differences are: 1) three vs. 12 months return period, and 2) battery level of 80% vs. 90%. Recommendation: Any buyer of an Amazon Renewed product should check the following upon receipt: 1) battery life [below advertised 80 or 90%], 2) parts replaced, either with genuine or non-genuine Apple parts, 3) overall functionality [defective charging port]. Amazon Renewed Experience: Having tried the Amazon Renewed program five (5) times this year, I am completely disappointed by the inability to deliver a product which meets the claimed requirements.
