A few comments mention the load / timer feature doesn't work. It actually does work, but the controller UI is a bit confusing, and the manual doesn't explain in detail. Through trial/error, I found that the load feature works, but if your load is drawing more than ~1Amp, this triggers the over current limit breaker, the Light Bulb icon will blink until you unplug and plug back in the power. This is inconvient since 1A is pretty low for a lot of applications most people use this for, however an easy workaround is to connect a relay to the load terminals, and let the relay complete your high current load circuit. ... show more

Can’t go wrong for the price. Only thing to note is the charger will power itself either through solar or the battery, so if you have it stored under a vehicle cover, there will be battery drain. But the idle draw is about 5mA, so it would take over a year to drain a 50Ah battery.

-short wires to the solar panel are very limiting to positioning the solar panel for optimum angle. -cloudy days are not very productive +sunny days are good to charge with direct and indirect sun

We bought this to charge our CPAPs when we were off grid. It didn't come with the alligator clips or the cord needed to charge our power source. The item we bought should have had the alligator clips with it.
