  • Comes with a PSU
This case comes with a 300w PSU and one rear 120mm fan, which is honestly more than you'd get with many other cases around the same budget. It works, and that's about all that can be said. If you're having MOBO troubles try switching to 115w, that's what worked best for me. I appreciate the more "professional" look as compared to a case with more flash, my only complaint is the lack of a see through side panel or name brand power supply. The side panel supplied does have air holes which allow you to slightly see in, so if you're not swayed by RGB lights and don't care for cable management this case is a dream come true. ... show more

  • Works as expected. Missing components.
Received the case and it's pretty standard stuff if you've ever built PCs before. The power supply comes with a 4-pin connector. Luckily my motherboard is usable even though it has an 8pin female connector. Also, my case did not come with a power cord, even though the case shipped with a power supply and the documentation clearly indicated one should have shipped with it. Otherwise, the case performs as expected. Nothing too crazy. Comes with one system fan preinstalled. Would've appreciated at least a cage or one area to install a 2.5" drive. Most people nowadays usually have at least one SSD. Probably wouldn't buy this case again for any future builds. ... show more

  • Great case with power supply for simple builds
Have used about 6 of these this year. Comes with power supply, and if you dont have a lot of extra internal hardware it works just fine. Wouldnt recommend if using 3rd party video card or more then 3 hard drives. Used with m.2 ssd, cd, card reader.

  • My goto case for the last 7 years
In terms of form and function there is a lot going on with this case. For low power builds and with the right (quiet) fans this case is also fairly silent. Recently I assembled 3 1st generation Ryzen based PC's that are running Linux Mint and Windows 8.1 Pro in a Virtual Machine. The motherboard that I used is a micro ATX form factor (9.6" x 9.6") and fit nicely. There is a pinch area in many cases (see photo with red circle) where the board gets blocked by the 5-1/4" drive cage. I used both DVD & Blu-Ray writers that extended beyond the drive cage (most do) and I was still able to tilt the board at the proper angle so I could position it against the I/O shield. For some cases, people had to literally cut the 5-1/4" drive cage in order to get their micro ATX board to fit. The case comes with a 300 Watt power supply that is woefully under powered for my applications and was replaced with a semi-modular power supply. The case also comes with a 90/92mm rear case fan and an optional 120mm front case fan. I opted to use a slim 15mm wide 120mm Noctua PWM case fan for the front. Although you can use a standard 25mm wide fan in the front, it is a tight fit, and when it comes time to replace the fan it will be even tougher to remove, so while I was successful one time, I opted for 15mm wide fans for subsequent builds. I also replaced the stock rear fan with a 92mm (25mm wide) Noctua PWM fan and lastly I was able to use a rather large Noctua NH-C14S CPU cooler/heat-sink with the fan mounted on the underside so that the air will be exhausted out the side vent of the APEX case. I also opted to use the iStarUSA/ICY DOCK 3.5" removable tray to facilitate easy changing of the SSD in the future. Although I have been using Linux for nearly 15 years and UNIX for over 40 years the household is rather new to it and I suspect I will be trying several distributions, hence the ICY DOCK trays to test different distributions. There is a lot of value in this computer case. I just wished it did not take 1-2 months to receive. ... show more

  • Love This Case
Built a Video Server based on this case. Wanted something that would hold a lot of 3.5" HGST Ultrastar Helium drives in a Micro ATX size. Installed 7 HGST drives. 2 required 5-1/4 to 3.5 adapters in the top 2 bays. Installed an Intel Xeon E3-1275 V5 CPU with SUPERMICRO MBD-X11SAE-M-O Micro ATX Server Motherboard. System drive is a Samsung 960 PRO M.2 512GB NVMe installed directly on the motherboard. Replaced power supply with CORSAIR CX-M series CX430M 430W unit. Replaced the provide fans with a PWM fans. Server runs very quiet and cool. HGST Ultrastar Helium drives run very cool and use very little energy. Air coming from the back of the server is not even luke warm. Been running 24-7 since 2017. ... show more
