This actually works quite well. I don't normally write reviews but I had to with this. The mug is very very smartly made. The fact that it has no batteries and that it's not just a hot plate is genuinely smart. I really like it and frankly the price is crazy good. If you look at all the other ones there isn't even competition. I mean like compare it to ember. Firstly it has batteries you have to charge and also it's like 2x the price! For a mug!!! Crazy. fr tho try it. I mean it actually keeps my coffee hot. I drink black coffee and it's nasty when it's cold so having this at my desk is a life saver.     • Gets hotter than out of the coffee maker
My Keurig does not produce hot coffee. It’s barely room temp. This coffee heater actually gets it hotter so you have to be careful because the cup gets hot too. I don’t know why you should pay more for other heaters I’ve seen. I highly recommend this if you like hot coffee for more than a half hour.

    • Working great so far
I was wanting a second wireless phone charger for my desk and ran across this coffee mug. I have been using a double wall mug for a while which works great but I have to wait like 30 minutes for my coffee to drop below liquid-hot-magma temperatures. I thought with this it would help with the warm coffee problem and phone charging problem without spending much more than I would for a wireless charger by itself. And so far it has definitely delivered. The mug is nothing special and loses heat at a similar rate to other ceramic mugs, but throw it on the base and it stays a nice temperature (not too hot for me but close) while I drink coffee and work. And if I get in the zone and forget about my coffee for a bit it's not a problem because it's still nice and warm. The wireless charger works great for my Pixel phone and tops off the battery quicker than my other 10W charger. My only real gripe is with the ceramic lid that came with the mug. While a lid is nice for regulating the temperature, it gets covered in condensation and then drips on my desk when I take it off. For a while I went with no lid which worked ok but a full cup would not stay quite as warm. Then I found a universal silicone lid with a spout for drinking and that has made this just about perfect. I would love to see future iterations of this product include a lid like that allows for drinking without taking it off. ... show more

    • 3 out of 4 didn't work
The first one of these I ordered did not keep the tea at drinking temperature, so I reported it defective and they sent me a new one that worked just fine. So, I wanted another another one for another room, and have since had two more that also don't work -- one was the same thing, didn't keep the drink warm enough and the other one didn't heat at all! So, based on the fact that 3 out of 4 of the items didn't work properly or at all, I've given the poor rating. If I were rating it based on the one that does work, it would be a 5. The one keeps my tea at perfect sipping temp, and it's also a great phone charger. I am giving up on getting another one that works and will just settle for the one I have. Sadly, it's a great price and works great . . . . if you can get one that works! Oh, and the last one I got seemed like it was not new (had been re-shipped out after a return) so I scribbled "Defective! Do not re-use!!" on it!! ... show more

    • A nice little mug if you like a warm drink.
If you want your drink HOT, this might not be the mug for you. It keeps your drink a nice warm temp that is pleasant. Think warm latte not hot coffee. The build is nice it looks like a normal mug. What really drew me to this mug rather than some other product like an Ember or SmartMug is that it heated via wireless so there wasn't any exposed electronics. It can be washed as a normal mug. This mug keeps your drinks warm, and will do so ALL day. It's feels to be quality made and has a good feel in the hand. The pad does indeed charge your phone and I haven't had any issues. However other wireless charging pads do not work with it. It is important to note that even though the power cable is a USB-C type connection the cable SHOULD NOT be plugged directly into your phone or any electronics directly as it puts out 12 volts and will ruin your phone. ... show more
