Hubby decided it was better to put this together while I was at work. Said that he wanted to try and stay married a little while longer to me 🤣😂. His review about this is: actually pretty simple to put together. He started around 11 am and when I got home at 6 pm all I had to help with was the curtains and the mounting to the porch. He said doing it himself gave him time to look over all the pieces and parts to ensure he had them. Allowed him time to put the legs together, then the rails for the top, then the rails for the roof and so on. The quality of it is kinda light weight and could possibly dent easily if very strong winds got going and through some stuff around. The roof is great to be able to see some light transparently through but not clear enough to see all of the leaves on the trees or the clouds in the sky. We had a very good rain the last couple of days and the roof didn’t leak, the curtains are not water resistant but do keep you from being super soaked. Me being the wife and wanting a place to hang out in the summer. This is great. It looks good, it’s made well enough, the warranty you can buy make good piece of mind. So I am satisfied and thankful my husband is happy because of that 🤣! ... show more

We finally got this thing up. For reference, we are 2 women, in our 40s and 50, no special skills, decent tools on hand. That means if we can do it anyone can assemble too. The instructions were spot on for the most part, we took our time. Altogether, we spent a full Sunday (about 10-11 hours) and half a day assembling it. Overall, it seems like a nice product that hopefully will last a while. As most reviews state, it is a good idea to not screw everything super tight. However, I think it's just as important to know when to tighten fully because you won't be able to get to that certain spot later. Other issues noted, mainly quality control related. One roof edge (labeled as Ds) did not have a screw slot welded into it. This means that when it came time to secure the roof edging at one corner point, it was just an open space with nothing to catch on to and thus would not secure the roof panel. We fixed this by using a 3/16 toggle bolt that went inside the open space snugly and then screwed into that. That held it together. The panels remind me of cardboard and one of them had a deep dent in it but it wasn't fully broken, which was good. I think it is also important to note that the title of this product includes the word 'permanent' in it however the first thing you see when opening the instructions is that it is not a permanent structure and is a 'temporary, portable shelter'. With all the parts this thing takes, I can't imagine someone waking up and saying let's take down the gazebo and bring it to the beach today. It is definitely not that kind of gazebo so I guess it's just a legalese way of saying we aren't responsible for your mishaps. Lastly, we live in a high wind area and opted to use concrete planets to anchor it. Seems to be working well and extremely heavy. Overall, it's a good product for the price and we are looking forward to enjoying it. ... show more

The media could not be loaded. We bought this to replace our old one with fabric top. Our old one broke during a snow storm. This is definitely a sturdier option and was very excited to have it up. At first it was very intimidating to put together. Planning and preparation was needed to get everything in order. My sister and I in our 40s and took us in combination of 6-8hrs to have up completed. We broke it down to 2 days, between 3 to 4 hours each day. We also took our time as we did not want to rush it. The preparation and reading the materials ahead of time helped organize us. Definitely helped having actual tools and electric drills to use but can also use what was available. We needed a ladder that is at least 6ft tall to put up the middle portion. Depending how tall you are, we’re both around 5’2. Drilling and securing the corners were one of the most challenging as you will need both ends to drill down while securing both sides. Overall, it did not give us too much trouble, fairly easy to put together once you have the main structure up. I really like how it looks on my deck and the extra protection from the cold or heat.
