The choices of games to choose from are excellent. They are fun and addicting. The image quality is great it is so clear of course it is a bit old school looking but for it to be old school looking it is great. I ended up getting caught up playing these games as if I was addicted. There was one thing that I had noticed about this is that the button to press to jump and fire are different from what a regular game would be so that is something that you have to get used to. I did not find any glitches there were no screen freezes everything worked perfectly fine I am going to enjoy playing this for a while. I would recommend this to anyone 13 and under to like Age 3 honestly and I am an adult so I enjoyed playing this game so maybe older than 13 would enjoy playing this. ... show more

    • Easy, well thought out product but poor instructional content

I could not figure out the purpose or play of most of the games I've tried on this device, The instructions provided ONLY cover the set up and charging and what each button can do. These are NOT for the most part, the games we played back a few decades ago...though many look similar but with the small screen and no built in instructions...it is difficult in the actual game play. The acutual instructions for each game should be put on line or in a file somewhere to allow customers to get full value from what they've bought. This does not mean that the games are unenjoyable...as I played a few that were quite a good experience. I also think the console is decently put together...and the screen is fine for the size it is. All the buttons let you work any game and the 6 category organization...+action, shooting, sports, casual, puzzles and adventure let you easily sort through the available choices once you know what the game name mean. I note that the charging works great and the battery lasts hours...but it is a micro USB with the trapezoid connector...not a USBC so you need to bring the enluced cable with you or invest in and micro to C connector. Adults can have some fun with this as well as younger (pre smart phone) kids. Parents will have to find the game really young kids want to play since the choice is text based. BUT...this It is a small and light take along that can help pass the time for even the youngest kids. ... show more

    • An inexpensive hand-held game -- but you get what you pay for (mostly)

This hand-held mini game console aimed at children provides lots of classic games from the days of 8-bit game consoles that may appeal even to some adults who wish to revisit a nostalgic trek to bygone days huddled around their first and second generation game consoles. But the tiny screen and lack of support for connecting to a tv (offered by some similarly priced competitors) make this a curiosity whose appeal is unlikely to be long lived even for young children. On the up side, the game includes a rechargeable battery and a short cable to connect it to a USB computer port or 5 v power supply (not included) for recharging. On the down side the tiny joystick works about as well as a square wheel and is unusable (at least in the unit I received). Many games are still playable even with the defective joystick but are to say the least hard to play. I am giving this mini-console three stars through the benefit of the doubt assuming that the defective joystick actually works on other units and would be replaced if I cared to return the unit for a working one. But in all, I would suggest looking for a sturdier alternative--especially one that can attach to a standard television set for a better gaming experience. Great little handheld game with lots of games from family com era. It's actually a good gift for adults in their 40s and reminisce their childhood game console. You'll get immersed playing this. Controls aren't as great as modern portable gaming console but they're pretty responsive. The only thing missing, and i'm sure that's what you're going to look for right away, is super mario bros. That should be default and should be included in any retro handheld games. But overall, this is just fun to play. ... show more

It's not a high resolution screen and the framerate is horrific. The battery lasts a long time off a single charge though and there's no lag. The games are good but they're missing a few of the more popular ones like Zelda and Punchout. I'm giving it 5 stars because for the price this is a no-brainer if you travel a lot. Except for not having bluetooth audio, being able to play on a play without internet access makes the trips much shorter. It's better than an old gameboy but nothing like a Steamdeck. I wish it charged from USB-C so I wouldn't have to bring a seperate cable. It's a toy and a good way to waste time but don't expect it to impress your friends. ... show more

Product Review: Aojiao Handheld Game Console for Kids 3.0" (4/5 star) Reasonable price range: $19 ~ $28 Cool kids toy that my daughters enjoy having fun with great sound quality (really loud for kids), plus you can adjust the sound settings. Below are some pros and cons of the product: **********Pros********** -Super nice to have a rechargeable gaming device (battery last pretty long, at least 2 hours with full charge) -Light weight -Adjustable sound control -Large screen compare with some 2.4" screen device -A ton of games built in with genre separated *********Cons********** -Not sure why they have two yellow things that look like buttons, but it's not pressable, basically meaningless design flaws -Require kids to be able to read in the genre for shooter, classic... etc.. -Game progress can't be saved -Some games language is in Japanese Overall, good gift option for a portable gaming device, since it's rechargeable and can last forever. Not perfect, but it's a kid's toy, and the price is low cost and fun experiences for my daughters. Totally recommend.
