I live in the desert city of Las Vegas and having tropical plants is almost impossible. It's too hot in the summer and too cold in the winter. I needed more light on some indoor plants not receiving enough natural sunlight in my home. These tropical plants can't get direct light and so this grow light is perfect. Its 50 watts run for 8 hours along with the limit natural light that comes through my windows give just the right amount for them to do well. This helps place plants in areas of my house that was normally bear to green stuff. I eventually will rewire the lamp to be less noticeable on my wall, now I know the plants are thriving off it. The packaging from the manufacturer was a little thin and I had a few dimples on the edges of the light rim. This is not noticeable when suspended from 8 feet up. But if I had it lower, I might be inclined to return it. Overall this is a great source of light and runs great. ... show more

We have this on a timer so that the plants get a rest at night. It's color spectrum is perfect. Our flowers have grown all year long. Loved the light. Perfect for our need. The only reason for 4 starts is the middle section of leds (there are 3 sections) burned out in about 10 months. The description says it "CAN" last up to 23 years. Well I guess not. If it didn't function as well as it did for the plants WHEN it worked fully, I would have not ordered another one. Hopefully this one lasts but if not, we will NOT purchase another one of this brand. Technology on led lights has evolved so much in recent years. The output of beautiful lumens way exceeded my expectations. Well made, very lightweight. Comes with pretty junkie hardware for hanging, so I will likely be buying something separate from the hardware store, but for all the rest? I am very happy with this product ... show more

    • Arrived Damaged - Antlux Made it Right
The grow light arrived damaged with the top of the light bent in the middle so that either ends slope down. The clips that come with the hanging chains are a pain as you have to put down on the guard to move and not easy to manipulate. The bulbs were not broken and the light functional and I kept it as my seedlings were emerging. Overall the lights are somewhat flimsy and not as well made as two other grow lights I previously purchased. ***Update*** Antlux customer service reached out to me and responded to my issue quickly. I just received a brand new replacement light which after being double boxed arrived in perfect condition. This is what I call great customer service!!! ... show more

Its perfect for both succulents and my herbs. The light is very strong so despite it being high up on the ceiling, it is more than enough! It made one of my cactus plants grow new buds in the middle of winter. Furthermore, it made propagating new plants a lot easier. Its very easy to use and it didn’t take me very long to install, I just had to measure out the holes but I just followed the manual and it worked out. I’ve had it for a couple months now and haven’t had any complaints! I listened to the other reviews and made sure I had a basic extension chord to plug it into an outlet. If you see any succulents in my picture that look stretched out from not having enough light, they were like that prior to getting this light, im glad I could save them in the middle of pacific northwest winter. ... show more

This is a very shabby product like so many from China. It was easy to install but not with what they provide. The small chains have clips but beware they are also quite shabby. I use a medium duty chain to connect them to hooks in the ceiling. The chains provided are just too uncertain to work. It is very light and the spectrum of the light is a combination as shown in the Amazon page. I use it for early stage seedlings which are then placed in a green house environment for natural light. I would not rely upon this light for real growing. The box it comes in was crushed but that seems to be a common UPS issue. Fundamentally this is plug and play but try to get it 10" or so from top of seedlings. ... show more

Buying this LED light for my wife’s plants, because she likes to keep a few plants in door. It is very hard for those plants get enough sun light, therefore, get her a grow light, hopefully it could help her plants grow better. My wife doesn’t have a lot of plants in door for now, I bought her a big 4 ft grow light, just in case she wants expand her plants fleet (~ I am pretty sure she will). LED grow light: The grow light is super bright, amazingly it is not consuming a lot power as conversational halogen lamp. The light itself does not generate a lot of heat, so you can locate it as close as possible to baby plants, without worry about plants get burned. Next to the power cord, it has a build-in power switch. I am not going to use that power switch, instead, I am going to use WeMo Mini Plug. Installation: This LED grow light comes with an installation package, and you don’t need anything extra. There are two methods to install the light. I suggest using the second method---using chain and ceiling hook, because you can adjust grow light height at any time by moving hook from the pulling chain. Here I keep the light about half foot away from plants. (maybe a little bit too close) So far, it looks like her plants like this new grow light. I will update this review later. ... show more
