  • Comfortable and secure ankle holster, makes your pee-pee look HUGE
Style: Velcro Retention
This is a comfortable ankle holster that securely holds my backup weapon, and a spare magazine. I spend a lot of time chasing after bad people, going up and down stairs, and sitting in my squad car - all in the heat and humidity of Florida. This holster holds up well in those conditions, retains my weapon comfortably and safely, and is unnoticeable for all intents and purposes. For $10, I'm shocked at the quality. I've spent more for ankle holsters, but did not get a reciprocal value for that investment. I am well and truly pleased with my Bear Armz holster, and I highly recommend it to others.I bought this as a duty-use item to carry my back-up gun for work 2 weeks ago, and wanted to get some field-use in with it prior to writing my review. It is very comfortable to wear - even on 14 hour shifts, outside in the Florida heat and humidity. This holster carries my Walther PPS m2 and spare mag with ease. It disappears behind my pants leg like it's not even there. I use this ankle holster in conjunction with the Concealment Express kydex IWB holster for extra piece of mind, as I carry my back-up gun in Condition 0/Condition 2 while going up and down stairs, chasing bad guys, and sweating like crazy in the aforementioned Florida heat and humidity - this arrangement allows me to bypass the built-in velcro strap of the ankle holster, using the retention capabilities of the molded kydex with the compression of the elastic on the ankle holster, and go straight to the gun without fighting with the safety strap on the ankle holster. YMMV, but I'm happy with this set-up. I highly recommend this holster. It works very well, and I consider it well worth the $10 I paid for it. ... show more

  • No one knows it's there.
Style: Velcro Retention
I run a courier route. I begin my day at 3:30 in the morning. Some of my stops brings me to some pretty sketchy places. Although it is against company policy to carry a firearm, With the ankle holder, I'm able to go about my day without anyone noticing my self protection, and it gives me piece of mind knowing that I absolutely have a fighting chance in case something does happen. This holder is super comfortable. Stays tightly in place and is well hidden. It is designed for small firearms only. Which is perfect for me. I'm very happy with this holder. Thanks. ... show more

  • Great Ankle Holster, But Needs One Important Fix
Style: Snap Retention with Calf Strap
I own a Sig P938 and use this holster. PROS The holster is very comfortable to the point I forget that I am even wearing it. More importantly, it very securely holds the weapon. I recently bought the version that includes a calf strap. It takes just a second or two extra, but gives me added confidence that weapon is going to stay put on my leg without riding down. The Velcro-only version I had previously would occasionally ride down inside my boot and rub against my ankle. If I couldn't immediately adjust it, it could get a little painful. So far, the extra calf strap has prevented this from happening. The Velcro is very strong, at least initially. See the cons section below. CONS The back-up magazine holder needs to have second, lower snap to help retain smaller magazines. There is too much room and my back-up magazine recently fell out once while walking. Fortunately, I felt it fall and retrieved it. The holster works perfectly for the P938, so the magazine holder should be able to provide the same level of retention for a magazine made for that gun. My magazine even has the finger extension. Being able to have a back-up magazine readily available is essential when you are carrying a gun that only carries 8 rounds, including the one in the chamber. I will be making a trip up to the craft store to see if I can get a snap to add. The Velcro, while initially strong, does get weaker over time. Maybe with the strap it will not be an issue, but the last two versions have been Velcro-only and I wore them about a year before replacing them. Not really complaining about that as much, since getting a year with almost daily use out of a holster that costs $14 (or $18 for the calf strap version) isn't unreasonable. Bottom line, adding the lower snap for extra retention for the second magazine would make this an excellent holster. ... show more

Great fit. It's very comfortable.

  • Nice materials, limited adjustability
Style: Velcro Retention
I have been using this almost every day for a few months. I never really thought I had large calves until trying to put this product on. Trying to connect the top strap requires significant pulling and that is just under my knee. The bottom strap doesn't go on all the way, I will take partial blame for not measuring my leg before ordering. My biggest problem is the lack of vertical adjustments. I have to rotate so my barrel is almost to my heel so it won't rub against my ankle. I have to re-adjust 2-3 times a day because when walking it shakes loose even when very tight (I think it drops lower). I will keep wearing it until I find something better because I will always carry and for now I can't use my IWB. ... show more

  • Well worth the price and multipurpose
Style: Velcro Retention
Only been wearing it for about a week, but very comfortable. My Taurus G3C fits in it, but with the standard finger extension mags, and slim fit boot cut jeans (not skinny jeans just the middle ground between baggy and skinny in the leg) it prints pretty bad. That isnt the holsters fault at all, just a heads up to anyone considering this holster. Ill try it again once i get a more subcompact/slim 9mm or flush fit mags. For now i am using it to hold a TQ, leatherman or spare mag in the smaller pocket, and Quickclot or a pouch of ETD in the “gun” pocket. Depends on my environment that day. I personally think its a better option than the $50 ankle med kits, because the top strap holds the weight of your kit on your calf, and its more comfortable than the standard ankle med kits. I also wear cowboy boots so the pocket area stays very secure. But i think with two straps it will stay in place even with shoes or regular boots. Highly recommend this product ... show more
