Description

Our Sweet Seats character chairs double as adorable room décor and a child’s favorite plush pal. Rich fabrics, sweet dimensional faces and a soft yet sturdy design make these character chairs ideal for kids 18 months +, and parents will be thrilled to learn that they can easily wash and care for their child’s new favorite seat. WASHING INSTRUCTIONS: Simply take a paper clip, hook through the safety zipper and pull to open the character chair cover. Carefully cut the tack stitch thread that secures the cover to the center foam block with a pair of scissors. Once all tacks have been cut, you can remove the foam blocks. Once you’ve removed all of the inner foam pieces, your cover is ready to wash. For best results, we recommend using a delicates bag in a machine wash cold setting, and afterwards laying the cover flat to air dry.

Despite what the listing says (in 3 different places) the cover is NOT machine washable. The tags specifically states "spot treat only" and air dry. The arms are also stitched into the foam, so you would have to cut the cover off of the insides to attempt to wash it. My face was lop sided a little, and a few of the seams are on the outside; so the craftsmanship is definitely lacking. The chair is cute though, and super soft. My baby loves it. ... show more

Bought this for my 1 year olds birthday it is worth every penny super soft and well-built for a foam chair I have had one of these in the past and if you use a paperclip to unzip the outside cover comes right off and washes really well. I recommend air drying though instead of putting it in the dryer the dryer makes it lose its shape. ... show more

I love the look and feel of it, but I’ve had it 3 weeks and it’s already falling apart. The chair was for my 1 1/2 year old but I have 2 older kids and between them and a couple play date, the back isn’t straight anymore. Once older kids sit on it and lean back, it starts to get really slouchy in the back. I try to stop the older kids from sitting on it but after several kids have played at our house, it’s just not close to the same. Also, just yesterday and today there were these thick threads that had gotten loose and were hanging out of the chair by several inches. Unfortunately I cut them because my 1 year old was pulling them and now the fabric isn’t tied down in any way to the inside and is incredibly loose. ... show more

A very cute chair, soft and my 20 month old daughter loves it. However, only giving 2 stars because there was no zipper handle to unzip it, so I just used a key ring from my keychain and put it on in order to unzip the cover. To my surprise- despite the tag saying the cover comes off and is washable- it is NOT. The cushion is sewed to the cover, so in order to remove the cover, you’d have to cut off the strings which will make the whole body of the chair fall apart. I bought it for my one year old daughter. It’s great height for her and she doesn’t sink in it. She’s able to pick it up and drag it around. She pushes as rolls it around the living room as if it was a big pillow then falls into the chair. Last night she fell into the chair and the chair and her both went toward making her do almost a front flip. When she sits on it right the back piece kinda leans back and makes her want to lean back more. I have to put it against the couch I wish the back foam piece was more sturdier and the bottom was weighted. ... show more

We gave this to my granddaughter at about 18 mos and she didn't really know how to sit in a chair yet, so she kept rolling out of it. However, within a couple months, it has become her favorite chair and she loves the animal face. I thought perhaps the face would have been a little uncomfortable, but it mashes down with almost no pressure and is not a problem. So far and now into it for about the last 8 months, it has been remarkably easy to clean everything from dribbled bottle to chocolate chip cookies off it. It's light and easy for a small child to scoot and carry around, but sturdy enough that it doesn't collapse. Usually I'm not impressed by kids toys, but this is the exception. There are a few others by the same maker too and we got another one for my grandson, about the same age. He took to it a little faster, but he was also a couple of months older. ... show more

Did not unbox myself, but no reported complaints about the packaging of the chair. No weird smell. Smaller box so I’m sure it was probably vacuum-sealed or something. Perfect size for my 17 month old (approx 26 in /66 cm tall, 24 lbs /11kg). She can sit upright with her feet resting comfortably. It’s light foam so she drags it around wherever she wants. It’s fairly sturdy except she unfortunately doesn’t understand physics so she’s leaned up against the backing when it wasn’t against anything and fell forwards, bumping her head. Oh, the joys of toddler age. Soft, fuzzy pink (owl) material, similar to a lot of baby blankets. Shape holds up well to abuse. Has a zipper around the bottom that cannot be accessed without a pin (I used a pen tip) to zip open. Individual blocks of foam form the chair. Did not try to remove do not sure if they’re easy to replace. I just spot clean the chair for now as it hasn’t gotten soiled. For the $35 I spent, so far it has been a good investment. I see my daughter being able to use it for at least another year or so more. Was told when she walked into the room and saw it, her face lit up, all smiles and was so excited to use it. Can’t beat that, right?!? Only suggestions are if you’re using it with a younger child and you do not have padded carpeting, place it up against something if you’re not sitting next to them or else it’s so light, it won’t be able to handle any weight and it’ll tip over. Not a good thing when you have solid flooring for them to fall face-first on. Also be careful because it’s a perfect height for adventurous toddlers to use it as a means to climb! ... show more
