Our 2011 Samsung LED 50” flat-screen remote was damaged by water and no replacements available. :{ But this unit was a Perfect replacment…. With the TV “off”…. install remote batteries… press the little Red “A” button (pairs the TV)….the TV indicator blinks Once…. Then press the remote “power on” button…and VOILA!     • How to repair the cheap remote when it becomes non-responsive.

The media could not be loaded. The remote will work for about 6 to 9 months before likely having issues. This remote will need to be taken apart, cleaned and re-oiled. The manufacture is using oil to make contact, versus contacts on the rubber buttons. The oil becomes displaced or dirty and does not allow the remote to be responsive in a timely fashion. I just threw a TV away a couple of days ago because of a similar situation. Wish I had known this before I tossed the TV out. I was using a replacement remote from Amazon and likely was the culprit and not the TV. The remotes are cheap and that is that. ... show more
