As other reviews have noted, this rug is super soft and fluffy — more like a pet mat than a regular carpet. My cat loves this. I needed a rug for insulation under my chair by my desk. The floor is really cold in the winter and my legs get cold, so I bought this rug for layer of insulation under the chair. It is perfectly suitable for this purpose. Some reviews say that these rugs are slippery to walk on — maybe so, but I won’t be walking across this rug, so that’s not a concern here. I just want it to stop the draft coming through the floorboards. Packaging: I was pleasantly surprised at how compact and lightweight this rug is, in the vacuum-packed wrapping. I wanted a rug that would be easy for me to carry up two flights of stairs, and this rug comes packed so small and lightweight, very easy to carry. It’s amazing how big it expands when it comes out of the vacuum-pack. Keep in mind this is not heavy-duty carpet material. If you want a super-soft rug that would be great as a floor covering and comfortable for toddlers and pets, you will be very happy with this, especially for the price, it’s a great value. The media could not be loaded. This rug has been a great choice for our toddler’s bedroom! It is very soft, and so far has not shed at all, which I was worried about for such a fluffy and inexpensive rug. Very impressed with the quality given how affordable it was. We have not had any issues with it slipping or sliding around the room, and it has been easy to move when we need to rearrange. The color is great, and it was super easy to set up. I’m like you! I shop on Amazon several times a week! Very rarely do I feel COMPELLED to leave a review! I’d give it 10 stars if I could! With my dog, I had gone through several area rugs, even purchased a heavy duty carpet cleaner. Once an animal pees… it’s just never the same. So much $ wasted! First This rug makes a room so nice and cozy. And if my dog has an accident. It can somehow squish into my wash machine and the pee is gone. I even add bleach to really sanitize it. I lay it over the rail to dry. And then sometimes i fluff it on low heat in the dryer and sometimes I just throw it back down and it’s ready. When it comes out of the wash… don’t be scared. It looks bad at first But i promise it will fluff up again. Seriously in the last 20ish years of shopping on Amazon. This is in my top 5 items. ... show more

I came here about 10 months after I purchased it to see if there are any tricks in the reviews, as I am having a hard time cleaning mine. It is pretty impossible to vacuum, as the fibers kind of catch on each other, and so pieces of debris get stuck in there. I have a very good vacuum and will take my time vacuuming, and will run over a piece I can see multiple times and yet... it doesn't budge. My friend's dog will come over, who has white hairs, and its so aggravating not being able to get all the white hairs off the navy rug. I wish I could return this because I kind of hate it. Its a cheap rug, so I know I got what I paid for. It is very slippery. The softness is the only upside. ... show more

I like it it’s soft, but there’s not enough grip on the bottom so it slips around a lot. Definitely not a rug you vacuum. This is something that you need to shake outside.
