I like the scanner, but my vehicles are older except for my 2019 Colorado. A lot of the features are not available for the older vehicles. The manual is as usual lacking full information and it helps to view videos on YouTubes to figure out some of the features. Setting up the scanner is not covered at all in the manual. Nothing is said about the password in the included seperating form card thing. All this needs to be a first class scanner is attention to details that the user needs to set up and use it. In other words, a complete user freindly manual. It wouldn't even read codes on my brothers 2003 Ram pickup. I used my OBDII plugin scanner and my phone program to retrieve the codes.     • Good diagnostic tablet with some issues

Overveiw- This diagnostic tablet is insanely powerful. It is scary what this thing is able to see and control and made me feel like I could seriously screw something up with the wrong swipe. It is truely bidirectional and provides a lot of live data sets. It is able to see much more codes than any code reader I've ever seen. Cons- Most 01 ford vehicles arent supported for some reason. it starts at 1996 goes to 2000 skips 2001 and goes from there to the current model very strange. The interface takes some getting used to its a bit delayed especially in comparison to a smart phone but it works well enough. Key programming seems to be very limited as well as key fob programming. I hope that more cars are added to the list of supported vehicles that support key fob programming Pros- This thing is very insightful its able to see codes that a lot of code readers dream of seeing. It will read every module in your car. it has plenty of active tests for my wifes 09 chevy malibu and my moms 2012 ford flex. the ammount of live data sets you can see is absolutely insane. The ecu live data in the 2012 ford flex had 256 data points! I returned a launch 129x to buy this one instead and the launch saw only 56 live data sets on the ford flex. Reason for star rating- while im impressed im also let down. It wont program my key fobs and it wont do the diagnostic on my 01 ford van. It is very powerful tho and will come in handy for tricky things. Im giving it a 4 star for now in hopes that they will add my van and key fob programming for my wifes malibu. I will try to remember to come back in a few months and change the star rating based on if they respond to my feed back or not. ... show more

Bought this scanner and so far it has been amazing. Bi-directional testing is great. Does all of the OBD scanner stuff you'd expect and more. My problem is with the extra features. I can't find a list of vehicles that this scan tool is compatible with to program keys. Trying to program my 2009 Honda Odyssey EX-L "V" chip key and it doesn't work. Doesn't even have an immobilizer option for this car. It says "IMMO" is not supported please go to "One Push Start", I go to that submenu and it force closes back to the system select menu. This model and trim does not have a push button start. Emailed support and they did get back to me. So far it's been about a month and nothing yet. Also wish there was a list of compatible vehicles to program keys with. Had I known it wouldn't be compatible with my car I may have chose a different brand/model. The stock android launcher and screen leave a lot to be desired. You can remedy the launcher easily by downloading another, but the touchscreen is sometimes unresponsive requiring multiple touches to register which is EXTREMELY frustrating trying to type stuff on the keyboard. Overall would recommend at the $400 and lower mark. Often good sales on these around black friday etc. Wouldn't personally pay more than that. ... show more

Easy to use and update. I have used other scan tools, so finding my way around this one wasn't too hard, but someone who just picked it up might struggle to find some features. The fact that it has lifetime free updates is a major selling point as many higher-end scan tools have a monthly or yearly paid subscription. I have been using it pretty steadily since the Fall of 2021 on multiple different vehicle brands and have not run into any major issues. I've also used it to inspect a few used cars a friend was looking to buy and was able to scan for codes and check live performance data. I did have some issues connecting with an 06 Buick LaCrosse, but other than that, it has served me well. Lots of useful features that compare with higher-end scan tools. I gave it 4 stars because some vehicles didn't connect well and there weren't any PIDs in the Live Data Stream for wheel speed sensors on several different vehicles that I know have readable sensor data. I'm hoping that future updates will solve a lot of these issues. Overall it's a nice scan tool that's pretty good for the price. ... show more

    • I was Left With CEL's on 2 Cars. Fairly complete diag scans accomplished. OBD-II inop.on Hellcat.

This device seemed to be the most inexpensive 2 way communication analyzer. Self tutorial is somewhat required, due to lack of a thorough manual. It is More suited to newer model vehicles. Probably due, in part, to the technology being used at their time of manufacture. I performed a quick scan on a 2017 Chevrolet Cruze diesel and a 2016 Dodge Challenger Hellcat. Both vehicles had triggered a check engine light when the scans were completed. The Chevrolet cleared on its own after a few drives. Then, I could not perform an OBDII scan on the Hellcat, using the Ancel V6. A dedicated Harbor Freight OBDII tool showed a hard code (red) on the Hellcat that indicated a communications fault, and I could not clear it. Since I have snowy and salted roads in my area now, I am not currently driving the Hellcat. So, I don't know if some driving cycles will clear the code. After restarts, the check engine lights were no longer present. I believe I will be able to use this in numerous other vehicles. ... show more
