I was on the fence about whether I should get a 2-in-1 distributor and tamper or just this tamper by itself. This little tamp is so adorable! It fits right in with the rest of my espresso stuff, and I love the handle because it feels perfect in my hand. It's a good quality, feels sturdy and it has good weight to it. A great tamp for your 51mm, easy to use and easy to clean.

Build quality: The wood handle is beautiful! Not sure if it is rosewood, walnut, or something else. Very nice finish and feel. The handle unthreads and features an M8 bolt. The tamper is weighty, and bottom is very flat. Feels solid and well-made. Measurements: The only downside i found to this product is the tamp diameter, which measured at 57.95mm. To be clear, this is accurately listed as 58mm, but many current 58mm tampers actually measure around 58.3mm to 58.6mm in order to get a tight seal on the basket. If you are looking for an actual 58mm diameter, this would be a good option! ... show more

I'm very pleased with this item. It has a really nice weight to it; tamps well. The finish is nice quality and the wood is smooth and has a pleasing satin finish to it-- classy looking without being too shiny or over the top. Looks so nice on top of my espresso machine. Looks really smart sitting on top of my espresso machine. The weight is nice in the hand, and the fit is just right for a 58mm portafilter. The handle screws off, which makes the base easy to clean. Overall - great!
