This bag fits great behind a kayak seat but also sits nicely on the front floor of my truck or in the passenger seat. I've used this for travel in my vehicle and on my kayak the last time we were out on the lake. They include extras like fishing pole holders and Bungie cords for strapping things down. This bag is decent at keeping things cold. You just follow the same practices you do anywhere else by loading cold stuff in the bag and then surrounding the food and drink with ice packs or plain old ice. This is much nicer cooler than what we were using, Material & Seams are high quality. We use ice packs so this will surpass our needs for half day excursions. Cooler can be easily attached to Kayak with included Ball Cords Cooler can double as waterproof bag for clothes, towels, phone, etc

I'm new to the kayak fishing scene, but understand the importance of a cooler on board. I didn't have any say in the kayak I have, so weight and additional rod holders are extremely important after the fact. This cooler is very lightweight compared to hard case coolers, making it more compact to fit comfortably behind your seat. The two-rod holders are bonuses that attach to loops via velcro, so as long as you don't hook a legendary fish; they should keep your rod out of the water. With the rod holders, I'd even see myself using this on a pier or the bank from time to time. ... show more

I do long fishing trips on my kayak and never could find a cooler that fit just right. This cooler is perfect. It’s very well made and is durable. Opening and closing this cooler is a breeze. Fits perfectly behind my kayaks seat.

I should have lustebwd to my gut and went with a regular soft ice chest. Not worth the money, and i already have a tear inside. I have never even put it to the test on the yak.
